Food is great and it’s so fresh I had the salmon! For 13 dollars I got my money worth! It’s was a large piece of fish that Fridays would have charged 20 dollars for a meal! Great service, really great prices, and really good taste!

Wonderful food. The taco, burrito and fajita are exceptional.
La Cocina’s unassuming front and decor don’t take away from the food cooked right in front of you by the friendly staff.
A great alternative to the Census Bureau cafeteria.

Waitress was rude and rolled her eyes at every request we made. They served my husband water mixed with soda. ( I understand this can happen sometimes When water comes from soda machine) However, when we politely asked that his water be replaced, she insisted that the water was “fine.” We had to purchase bottled water. Also my tamales were undercooked. Overall a bad experience and I didn’t feel comfortable eating the food.

The horchata was awful and although the food was edible it was not worth the price and not authentic Mexican food like I thought it would have been for other reviews for them and portion size was ok but once again not huge like other reviews say they are. I would of had better non authentic Mexican food from Taco Bell.

There is nothing that compares to the “fams” cooking. This comes close enough. It’s comfort food. I have tried several dishes. I usually pick up. I have only ate in once. the place is a bit small to do so. Considering the the few Salvadoran places in the suitland/district heights area they are currently dominating thise niche.
