Finally open!!! No more driving to Fontana or Riverside, Vallarta is here!!! I am loving this store!! This place shows a full understanding for the Hispanic community and appreciation. This is not like those stores that just caters to our community with the basic low quality products, and no other choices. Thank you!!! This store offers Everything, Anything, & More!!! All in one place!! Coming in you are greeted by the amazing sound of chatter and life. Like the mercados and tianguis in Mexico. They have authentic mexican food ready to go, tortillas, breads, fruits, meats, veggies, and even other things you wouldn’t think you could find here. Like Argentinian chorizo, or Korean marinated beef, or sushi!! They have everything from requezon to chongos to dry Chipotle Chiles. Amazing selection of fruits and vegetables. I used to walked into other stores and felt that my local stores didn’t provide the same selection and quality but no more. The community welcomes you!! Thank you for providing excellent service and your staff is so helpful and amazing!!! Please keep your level of service as high as now and we will support you!

My family and I were excited to visit the new Vallarta Supermarket in Colton since there isn’t one near us. We made a family trip and picked up Carnitas, Chicharrón, beans, and potato wedges for dinner.
Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We were overcharged — I was charged twice for Carnitas, even though one of the containers clearly had potato wedges (which cost less). That was frustrating to discover after a long drive home.
A few hours after eating, my entire family experienced mild stomach discomfort. It may have been a coincidence, but it was enough to raise concern.
I understand it’s a new store, but the staff didn’t seem fully trained. Several employees were discussing their breaks in front of customers, which came off as unprofessional. The store was also very congested, especially near the sample stations, and there were no small carts available, making it difficult to move around comfortably.
There was a noticeable presence of management on the floor, but unfortunately, most of them didn’t seem engaged with customers. I wish they would have shown more interest in helping — whether by checking if anyone had questions, offering direction, or even helping guide the flow of traffic. Instead, it felt like they were just standing around or on their phones, without actively supporting the shopping experience.
This wasn’t the experience we had hoped for, and unless changes are made in customer service, training, and store organization, I wouldn’t recommend this location.

You’re paying for the new construction of the store – the food and service isn’t great.

The style of the store is nice, but still lacking compared to a La Comer in CDMX or a Northgate in OC. There wasn’t as much fresh stuff like a Sprouts or a Northgate.

The service was rude and impersonal, I didn’t feel my community in this store.

2 avocados for $7, a small pack of old cut mango for $7 — some of the highest prices I’ve ever seen in a Mexican grocery, but without the good service or quality to match.

What I got here – see photo, was $50.

The tamales had a plastic taste to them and tasted artificial.

Don’t support this guys, go back to shopping at the stores that value our hard earned money.

Went in to try their food and had a bad experience. Overall the food was ok but it took a really long time to make. We had 2 combo orders of tacos(plain tacos, no cilantro or onion)and a burrito and it took about 40mins to get it even though there wanted many people and on top of that, one of our taco orders was messed up. After waiting 20 mins we asked twice to see how much longer it would be for our food and both times they said they were working on it but still took a while. One of the mans seemed like he was working on the orders fast, but another young man (the one who made my order) was working so slow and was also handling the food very poorly. He would leave warmed tortillas sitting on counter for a while as he made other orders and carnitas that he took out of heated bins to cut into pieces, was left out the whole time while we waited for the food (35mins) and still out after we left. There was a fly flying around so it could’ve easily landed on them. Keep in mind that those carnitas were still being used for other orders.

This place is really nice and the Ranchera meat is fire. The best I’ve tasted. Service was top notch considering being the first day and all the madness everyone did a great job. So nice to have this market so close to home. Looking forward to returning time and time again . Just what our diverse neighborhood needed some good Mexican groceries and food.

I ordered 2 burritos, 1- lengua and 1- chicharrón
1 chicken quesadilla and 3- taco de lengua it took over 40 minutes to get my order. The 2 guys putting the orders together ( Kaleb and I wasn’t able to get the other ones name but he was hispanic with gold framed glasses )were super slow and would get orders mix up. They had a hard time putting burritos together. This place needs better people putting orders together

Sooo…because of this market I now have an even greater addiction to chicharrones especially their chicharrones nuggets! I’ve gone to a few other places to buy the chicharrones with the meat attached. First of all the ones that are usually in a long strip are expensive as heck!
I usually only buy 1 piece and I’ve paid from $6.99 to $16 and some change just for one piece! Don’t get me wrong when I purchase those nuggets from Vallarta they’re expensive. I usually get maybe a pound and a half to one pound. They’re so good though I don’t mind! The guacamole to dip them in is also very good, but very expensive even for the small container. Crazy! But, that too is so good I don’t mind if I have the money at the time to get them both I will pay the price. So, just a recommendation for those who are wondering what to try from their cocina DEFINITELY go for those chicharrones nuggets! You won’t be disappointed trust me! I won’t complain about the one’s my husband bought for me just on yesterday that had a few pieces that were not the best. Because the two other times made up for that! I just hope in all they do from the cleanliness of the store, to the freshness of the food, to the quality of what you get. Remains consistent.
They have won me over with those chicharrones though! So much so I have yet to try any other food from the restaurant (cocina)!
So, Vallarta hats off to you guy’s for those awesome flavored, tender, moist, chewy, with a slight crunch, chicharrones. You have a faithful customer just for those alone!
