Just came to check this place out because we were in the area! Yum! The Cadillac margaritas are delicious! The chips and salsa is superb! We also ordered guacamole and it is also delicious. The service in the bar is impeccable!!! We ordered the carne asada burrito and also the Chile verde burrito. Everything was amazing. We also had the best service!!! We are definitely coming back!

The service was wonderful. They kept our drinks, the chips, and the salsa topped up and were just the right amount of friendly. The food was amazing! The nachos, albondigas, and veggie tostada were truly excellent. The chunky salsa was one of the best we’ve ever had. But the star of the show was the chipotle chicken enchiladas. Every member of our party agreed that they were the best thing at the table and worth the trip (we live 13 hours away in good traffic).

This place is great. The food portions were huge! The taste was excellent. I had the Chile Relleno; the best I’ve had in awhile. The service was amazing! And the atmosphere was fun. This is going to be one of my go to spots. 5 stars.

The first time my wife and I went here we were told it was a thirty to 40 minute wait as I counted 6 open tables and perhaps two families waiting in view ahead of us so I asked why the wait with so many open tables and I was answered with rudeness and disdain. We left. That should have been it for me but the place is close to the house so I decided to give it another shot. Mistake. This time we were seated immediately outside and proceeded to wait somewhere north of 10 minutes before our server decided perhaps we wanted to order something, anything. I considered walking out but I counted to 1000 and our server finally showed up. I really only have one good thing to say about La Cocina, at least this location and that is the margaritas are strong. However even that presented problems. Their menu had a picture with many margarita flavors but no description. We asked not one but two employees if they had a drink menu and were told by both no, they have an open bar. Like a dog tilting his head I thought these gentlemen don’t understand what “open bar” means. After a difficult conversation the server finally understood no, we needed him to list the various types of margaritas shown in the picture. As mentioned the margaritas were strong. It was premade mix but whatever. So far the experience was horrible. Allright, what about the food? Total Tex-Mex. When you live in Southern California you expect authentic Mexican food and so far, before going to La Cocina, we’ve not been disappointed. But yeah, this is Mexican food you would get in Canada. It didn’t taste bad or anything but it wasn’t better than an average Tex-Mex restaurant in Sioux Falls South Dakota. I don’t know about the other La Cocina locations in the SCV but I doubt they’re any worse than this location but that bar is VERY low. Close to the house or not we won’t be back to this place. To those reviewers that allowed the 4+ star overall review I strongly recommend trying other options in Santa Clarita. This place is NOT a four star restaurant. Not even close.

Trendy place popular with locals. Great happy hour pricing with friendly service. The bar was really cranking out the drinks and people seemed to be having a good time. We had a nice visit and the manager checked on us to make sure we were happy. I’ll be back again!

Good food and large servings. Our waiter was very attentive and gave us great service. We usually don’t have to wait too long for a table, even when it’s busy.

I was told there was a 45 minute wait for a table for dinner. Instead of just waiting, I sat at the bar and had a margarita with chips and salsa. Both were fantastic. I got my table in under 30 mins too.
