Great service, music, and delicious food. I had the shrimp Chaufa. My friends all enjoyed their food. Lucia was a great waitress. She was very attentive and friendly. I will definitely come back.

Ordered ceviche to go. They told me it was. 10 minute wait. 45 minutes later it was ready. Fish was so soft that it was tasteless. Pieces of octopus in the bowl even though I asked for fish only. Bowl was full with red onions and barely any corn. Very disappointed. For $25.00, I’ll never go here again.

This is an edit of my former review of La Choza Náutica, seven months ago. I wrote my concerns about prices compared to other peruvian restaurants. Today, I got surprised by the adding of tip as it was mandatory, when I asked them to correct it, they argued that the machine was set to include that amount and they couldn’t change it. The fact is that in NJ, the customer is free to decide how much to tip , it’s voluntary, not mandatory. What they’re doing isn’t complying with this state rules. I’m disappointed of their way to conduct business. I can’t recommend this place.

The service is amazing and the waitress make you feel at home. The food is incredible and the ambiance on weekends is very musical with live bands. Definitely a must if you are in Elizabeth

I ordered arroz con marisco and ceviche “combo” the rice with marisco didn’t have a taste , just 5 pieces of fish in the ceviche .. with tons of onions . We also ordered a maracuyá sour .. it was way too sweet

I have been here few years ago, had no problems. Now a days I am noticing a lack of service to English speaking customers. Today I tried ordering shrimp rice Peruvian style. Simple. Lady on phone says in Spanish that she doesn’t understand or speak English. Asked for someone that does speak and understands English and she said no. She cannot help me. This is a way to not serve English speaking customers only. Wow.

This place should be reported to the BBB. I felt robbed for 2 people to eat the bill came to $54 and we only ordered rice. We had no left overs and an automatic tip was added. Waiter didn’t speak of lick of English. And looked at me like I had 10 heads when I asked for a break down. Their menu says one thing but the charges are double or even triple that! Don’t go here unless you want to go home upset. I need to be contacted by management I’m very upset and the service was trash I try my best to support local but you can’t take advantage of the public like this. 0 stars
