We had the large menudo, the menudo itself lacked flavor. The menudo texture wad perfect, but it came with too much hominy.it had a decent amount of menudo inside though. I had to add a bunch of salt, pepper, oregano and lime to my menudo to give it flavor. They gave you an option if you want buttered bread or tortilla with your menudo. The bread was great, soft and toasted crispy.
We also had the red beef tamales, good flavor, lots of meat, but they didnt give us any salsa for it. The queso con rajas tamales were good but a bit on dry side. It had a lot of qieso inside though. Overall as long as you add some salsa, they’re great. Good size too.

Excellent menudo! It was very flavorful with about 2/3 of the bowl full of carne. They offer two options…with or without corn. The tamales are big and are very tasty. The prices are very affordable and we liked it so much we went back the next day. The offer a variety of “aguas” and other drinks.
If you like menudo and/or tamales this place is a must! The service was quick getting the food out, but kind of slow afterwards, but totally worth it.

The menudo was spot on! Flavor was good, plenty of meat and bread was a good side. Side order of a red chile pork tamale was great as well.

This is a quaint little mom and pop restaurant with good food at a good price. Bueno, bonito, barato! We really enjoyed the tamales, especially the red. But please be aware, they only take cash, no cards.

We came because of the ratings on Google, but it was deceitful. The food was a star. I rate a star because the only delicious item I had out of my order was the sweet tamal. The menudo with corn husks had 0 flavor, the coffee was okay, the champurado was a 7, the red tamal was about a 5 or 6, and the complimentary bread with the menudo was good.

Love this place, the menudo was tasty a bit spicy but with lots of meat, lemons were fresh, onion was from that day and the coffee was fresh and not so bitter, the tamales were also soft and sweet, service is great as always the waiters have been there for years now and they know is almost by name! Totally recommendable!

I have to say the menudo was spot on! I would recommend this place to everyone i know. We ordered the small menudo and i couldn’t finish it. The waiter was friendly and made us feel welcomed. Totally coming back again next time we are in town.
