This place is located in downtown Cozumel, probably 10 mins from the port where the cruises dock. The ceviche is pre-cooked, meaning they don’t cook it in lime but they pre cook it and serve to us in like with the veggies. Tasted average. Can’t complain but not worth the hype for how touristy and busy this place is. The chips and queso were the best part of the food. The enchiladas were also pretty mid.

This is – no exaggeration – my favorite restaurant in the entire world. I travel for work and every time I am in Cozumel I dream about this restaurant the entire day before leading up to walking in. The owner, hosts, waiters are the warmest hospitality, friendliest people. The food is absolutely delicious. If you go more than once they will remember you. It’s just hands down my favorite restaurant of all time and I will look forward to coming back time and time again. Thank you so much La Choza for making my life more beautiful!!!!!!

Amazing food and friendly welcoming staff, thanks for your kind hospitality. Really enjoyed my Chicken Mole and my mom loved her Red Snapper (she even shared I loved it too). Very reasonable prices and delicious food which is hard to find in a tourist destination but you outdid yourselves.

Service and food were great! My waiter was very informative although everything appeared a little bit rushed. Atmosphere and music was great and gave a perfect tropical island feeling. Highly recommend! Prices were on a higher side. Don’t forget to tip 10-15% if service is good.

It was the least friendly business we have seen so far in Cozumel and they weren’t really unfriendly even… My partner thinks that my issue was that there was a team of servers and that my ND was showing. Whatever.
ONE of the servers came back to say the food we ordered wasn’t ready and that dish was basically the reason we had walked to this restaurant. The server suggested something and it was really strange cuz he basically walked away and came back with my quesadillas and his suggested special…. Like it had already been made?
Seriously this place was just sus to me.
The quesadilla was ok. The beans were not. The guac was decent.
My partner liked the food for the most part but some of the pork was really gristly.

What a great authentic Mexican restaurant. Great value and flavorful meals. We’ve eaten here twice now and not disappointed with anything. Great service and great vibe. Definitely recommend!!! Ask what the daily specials are too!!! Delicious!!!

Service was great, the waiters were really nice and explained to us all we didn’t know or had questions about.
I came with my husbandand and we ordered nachos as an entrance. ThenI ordered a shrimp quesadilla which tasted great and I couldn’t finish them all!

We ordered the fajita mix with shrimp and chicken, and on a whim, asked to add beef, which was a brilliant choice. The fajitas were sizzling, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, showcasing the authenticity of the cuisine. The homemade tortillas elevated every bite. We also got a side of rice and beans, which were unlike anything we’ve had in the U.S.—distinctive, flavorful, and a must-try.

Awesome place to go and taste authentic Mexican cuisine. We asked our friendly waiter to serve us a traditional spread which surely didn’t disappoint. Just a well worth colourful 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal.
