Anyway all jokes aside. The food I’ve had at La Chingona is very good. I really enjoyed the atmosphere as it reminds me of restaurants in my hometown of San Diego. I’ll definitely be eating here often when I’m craving some Mexican cuisine made with love. Just hanging out in this restaurant is a good experience. Do try it for yourself!
The kids’ portions and pricing were fair, but many regular menu items felt expensive. Seattle prices explain some of it, yet for the $90 we spent I wished for slightly larger portions to bring home, as other Hispanic restaurants often provide.
We ordered margaritas, but they were smaller than what we’re used to for the price—a drawback that makes us hesitate about coming back often.
The chips and salsa were outstanding—some of the best I’ve had—but not complimentary, which was disappointing since most places include generous servings to take home.
The seating, however, was fairly simple and casual—not as polished as I expected for cuisine of this quality.
Even with those drawbacks, the authentic flavors and warm atmosphere earn a solid four stars. It feels like a special-occasion spot for us, though I’d happily return for lunch if the budget allows.
My craving for chicken tamales started when my mom told me about making tamales with her new neighbors back in the Midwest. I’d once tried mole in Detroit and didn’t care for it, but their mole here completely changed my mind—light, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the grilled chicken.
Service was quick and friendly. I highly recommended.
Decided to grab a bite at La Chingona.
My buddy, being easily excited, I knew we couldn’t dine-in.
All of the Servers and Manager, treated Diohgie and I with absolute Respect.
(Unfortunately, such is Remarkable!
Few businesses, to this day, especially restaurants, are at all understanding of Americans with Disabilities Act Laws, the ignorance, blatant discrimination, and outright abusive treatment by far too many businesses, towards Disabled persons with Service Dog’s, to this Day, is truly repugnant. Yes, even here in Seattle.)
La Chingona – This is THE place in ALL of West Seattle for the absolute most delicious Mexican food, and drinks!
The atmosphere is relaxed & casual. The portions, are insanely HUGE!
I usually get a Wet Buritto. Tonight, Carne Asada.
Weighing in at over 8 pounds, this is truly a beast of a burrito
