tuna tostada + extra tostada (10x)
Definitely one of my top restaurants this 2024.
The Tuna Tostada is a must-try; it tasted so premium! The Camaroncito comes in close second. I haven’t had anything like it before.
The Beef Tostada was good too; you can skip on the chicarron though.
The Horchata was just alright.
You’ll notice a very citrusy taste in their food.
Best in the history of PH tacos ever! My favorite was the camaroncito taco and the pork tacos with a kick of pineapple. The lengua taco does not disappoint as well, and the carnitas were so complex as well. BEST GUACAMOLE AND CHIPS WITH THE CHILI POWDER
2023: Still as good tacos – now at their joint location w Sensei ☺️ I miss the old La Chinesca vibe though.
We ordered their staple taco tray and their uni and pulpo tostado paired with mexican coke.
All tacos depend on how good the base is and they have excellent hand made corn tortillas topped with their well balanced toppings and served with a side of hot sauces.
My personal favorite is the carnitas, it’s so well balanced with that added texture, sweetness, and saltiness at every bite.
Another thing we always come here for is their pulpo tostado. It’s balanced, pulpo tastes great. It’s just addicting really. There are also textures in every bite from the crispy corn tortilla.
The uni tostada was also really good but maybe not for everyone as uni is a delicacy.
Overall a very good experience and worth visiting.
When they started sharing space with Sensei, the food quality became average, nothing to rave about. The kicker was our bill came to about P1,500 per head, which was definitely very bad value for what we got.
I want to say that the staff were very good and maintained their professionalism despite a lot of tables being occupied. However, I won’t be going back.
Food we ordered and our review (based on our taste buds):
* Carnitas – 5 of 5 (my son ordered a second serving)
* Camaroncito – 4 of 5
* Conchinita Pibil – 4 of 5
* Salmon Sashimi – 3 of 5
Place: The resto has around 12 tables more or less and so its better to come in early.
Value for money: 4 of 5
Overall: The food is good especially the tacos, which we are guessing their specialty. Serving size is not that generous though.
