This restaurant has the cutest environment, and is inside the oldest building in Napa. There are no reservations, and no waiting list, so you wait in line. We waited for a total of 55 minutes, which I would do again. The food was phenomenal, the bakery items were perfect. They said they just opened another restaurant in downtown Napa that offers reservations, so if you don’t want to deal with the wait(but miss the cute building) then go there instead! We’ll be coming back any chance we can!

Love this spot for its vibe and decor! Drinks and food were good, but didn’t blow me away. PASTRIES THOUGH – they were TO DIE FOR! Staff was super friendly too. Would come back for the sweets and atmosphere for sure

YES, the food is as good as everyone says. Definitely worth the wait, but that wait might be a while. We got there around 11 and were told it was a 1.5 hour wait to sit. I was very happy to learn that they had a to-go order area with seating so we opted for that. You can order drinks and pastries online, but to order actual food you need to stand in the to-go line.

The line went fast and we got our food within 15 minutes. Best chilaquiles ever. Highly recommend the arroz con leche concha. Get there early, be prepared to wait, but also be prepared to eat amazing authentic food!

This place is a awesome authentic little place pumping out some tasty drinks and food. We ended up getting the ceviche and the chips and guac which were amazing. I also got a burrito and my wife indulged in the chicken torta which make sure you are hungry! Maybe stick to one app hahaha the food and people were amazing. We had Cynthia for our waitress and everything was spot on.

Words cannot describe how this place made me feel. It had amazing customer service. Yes it may have a long wait but they have umbrellas for people to use and you can order drinks while you wait in line. Once you get in and order the staff is super helpful and kind. There is seats available inside and outside but outside is just beautiful. The food came out within less than 20 minutes of us ordering and it was delicious. The portions are big but you can order halves. The food was authentic, amazing and delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection and beautifully served. It definitely made the drive over worth it!

I’ve been here a handful of times and it never disappoints, the wait time is def manageable when you’re not extremely hungry. The food is so good, you can definitely tell they make everything fresh. Customer service is a 100/10. Everyone there is so friendly! Love this place!!

At the risk of leaving another excellent review of this excellent restaurant and potentially making it harder to get into this amazing family restaurant, it must be done. This is an outstanding Mexican breakfast/ brunch experience. The food, people and building is a must stop on your next Napa trip. I know we will be there on our next trip.

La Cheve Bakery and Brews is such a gem in Napa. We arrived just after opening and only waited behind a few people. By the time we left, the line wrapped around the building, so arriving early is the way to go. Housed in the oldest existing structure in Napa from the 1840s, it has a warm and cozy atmosphere that makes breakfast feel special. I started with a tres leches cinnamon roll and a cafe de olla, which were both full of flavor. The flan french toast was rich and satisfying, and the breakfast sandwich was fresh and hearty. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.

The line was about an hour wait but you could order to go on the other side of the restaurant. We did the To go and ate there. If you want to wait an hour to have your food on a clay plate then by all means wait. But I don’t think it’s worth the wait when to go was faster and the food is just as good. We ordered our food but they forgot to give us the churro donuts. We asked the guy working on sep 6 at 12 pm where our donuts were and he said they’re separate and have to wait to get called for the donuts. Which makes no sense since it’s to go. We ate our food and no donuts. We asked another person and said the donuts were sold out and that they can give us one cronut churro. Which was very hard so I took a bite and threw it away. If they didn’t have donuts the first time we asked we would’ve picked something else. It makes no sense why it was handled that way. The inside by the bathrooms had flys flying around as well. The green chilaquiles were amazing but the gorditas de chorizo con papas were not. They were very dry with no flavor. The French toast was good. I would go back for the chilaquiles but I would be very careful ordering desserts and making sure I get all of my order. But I would only order to go. Not worth the hour wait and then 30 min to get your food.

We came for breakfast in Napa, but I wouldn’t come back. Parking is difficult, the line was long, and although the service was good, the food was disappointing.

We ordered chilaquiles and carne asada. The chilaquiles were just chips with sauce instead of fried tortillas, and the sauce was overly salty and heavily seasoned. Portions were small, and the “carne asada” came with two tiny pieces of meat full of pepper and a cold nopal salad, which didn’t match the hot rice and beans. The steak was oily and fried rather than grilled.

Mimosas had too much orange juice with low quality champagne, the cafe de olla was weak, though the Juárez mocha, flan, and concha were good. Overall, the food quality and portion sizes don’t justify the prices. It’s not authentic Mexican cuisine, and I wouldn’t return even without the wait or parking issues
