One of the best spots and great taco’s. Go there early so you can get a good spot for the view, but the food is also amazing here! Highly recommended

Unbeatable views of the city. The only place to see sunset with amazing food and good drinks. Probably best chirzo tacos had in mexico. And the sausage is awesome.

Definitely the best place in San Cristobal to have a beer and some nice locally made high quality food!
The owner is awesome, gave us awesome insider tips to the city and hiking around Chiapas. Crowd was great wish I had a place like this back home in Canada. Cheers

Great view. Tacos were good. Puerco de Jinjiebre was amazing. Burger was slammin. Cocktails were surprisingly good. Also bonus points for attentive and quick service. They were out of several items, but their menu is solid we had still had an A+ meal.

Ate here three times and didn’t get sick. Maybe others had a bad experience.

One of the best meals we’ve had in Mexico! The table salsas were very nice as well, and it was easy to try a lot of different things even with 2 people as you can order single taco’s. We were there after sunset but the view was still very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Second time I’m going, second time I’m super happy. Service is excellent, food is great (with good vegetarian options), their artisanal beer is delicious (you’d go to a craft beer place and be served that, you’d be happy), and they have an amazing view of the whole city (and if sunset)! Last time we went they even had some live jazz, we had such a nice evening.

This place rocks!
We came here 3 times for midday sandwich and beer, snack and Sunday afternoon live music. They have great beer and sandwiches especially sausage (homemade and smoked ) with Papas Fritas.

The staff are very courteous, responsive, polite, friendly and appreciative.

The view is fabulous in the afternoon.

Don’t miss it!

➕ PRO:
The food is ok, they specialize on sausages and meat but they have several vegetarian and vegan options.
With humus they give also normal bread aside to mais tortillas. Much appreciated.
Nice selection of non-alcoholic cocktails.
The terrace is really nice, although the number of tables is limited (the higher terrace only has 3 stools) so maybe better if you book in advance (at least in the weekend).
They have good live jazz/arabic music and good atmosphere.
Service is polite.

➖ CONS:
– I ordered the green olives, that I love, but theirs are really really super acidic (not in a tasty way) from the water. So maybe avoid ordering them.
– Even tho there are only few tables, with 3 people serving them, take it easy because the service is a bit slow (take orders or bring simple things. Plus 10-15 minutes to take the money after giving the bill, plus other 10 minutes to bring the change back, although it was after everybody already got food and in a non busy moment)
– Also at times a bit confused service:
* no coordination on orders;
* when they finished wine cups they poured my wine in a normal glass (that is not a problem for me, I understand), but with the last wine they also poured in all the dust and crumbles from the bottle’s cork (that should not be in the wine at all.. ; so I’m not sure if they know how to open wine bottles without breaking the cork ).

I’ve not tried the meat specialities so I can’t say about it.
However overall a decent place to spend the evening and have drinks.

Another positive note, to counteract another hypocritical recent review from last week:
I personally appreciate they let people smoke on the terrace side (in a typical San Cristóbal autonomous vibe), as many clients go only to places where they can smoke cigarettes, when drinking alcohol (so the restaurant would loose customers otherwise).
This, regardless of stiff customers (tourists) that want to impose their “strict regulation” attitude without understanding how the system really works in San Cristóbal and in Chiapas independist areas.
It’s up to other customers to figure out if they bother somebody around eating, when smoking.
And it’s up to the disturbed customer to ask them to be kind and abstain for half hour.
Pretending that the owner tells them is (imo) typical privileged self-elected-cop’s cowardice and also implies to pretend being superior & above the owner itself: really impolite, arrogant and unconscious of the political context (like a typical “Post-colonialism Tourist”™️). Go study history please.

They made us really sick. We asked for water and guess they gave us tap water, sounds stupid but you assume that they’d use a filter or purification. Me and my fiance were sick for 3 days and had to go to a doctor. On our way out of town we bumped into two others that we met in the restaurant the same night, one of them had water and got sick, the other had ice and got sick but not as bad.

Food was ok. They didn’t have a few dishes that we wanted. View over the town is unmatched for sunset, just don’t drink the drinks or have salad.
