Ate here on 02/21/26,was my first time. A friend had mentioned them to me last year, and when he said Mexican buffet that’s all it took. My niece enjoyed it also.

We have been coming here for many many years. Thursdays they offer music bingo from 6-9 which is a fun activity to do with our son. It’s a nice place to unwind, enjoy time with friends & family, enjoy delicious food (Buffet or off the menu), and they have delicious drinks. We enjoy the buffet which has expanded. They have lots to choose from, great salad bar, sweets, fresh fruits, & something for everyone.

Food was extremely overcooked, maybe because it had been on the buffet bar to long. Bar attendees were spraying the food with water. Food may be good when fresh, unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try it that way. Only saw server when we were seated, never again afterwards.

The buffet is okay but all entrees we’ve ordered here have been great. The service is okay but they struggle handling large groups. Each time we’ve been there with a large group, they always say one person in our party didn’t pay even though we have receipts to prove they did. I don’t recommend paying in cash at this restaurant.

I really enjoyed this place, the food was really good and it’s a taco baffet. I got my money’s worth, everything was coming out being replenished so alot of fresh food on the buffet. Service was excellent, establishment clean and it was a great lunch that I feel that i got my money’s worth. I definitely will eat here again. No issues and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Found this spot just searching for places to eat in town while visiting family. The idea of a Mexican buffet intrigued me! I’m glad I took a chance. Friday for lunch I was pleasantly surprised it was busy, people coming in and out, and pleasant aroma greeted me at the door. Most were there for the buffet, as was I. Food was delicious and traditional. Great variety of items. Will return when back in the area.

I’m back, again!! 3/17/25. Unfortunately, I need to ding La Chalupa down at least a star. And not for the food. This visit I brought my son who has cerebral palsy and in a wheelchair. Though the bathroom door is marked with a wheelchair symbol, there were no handrails around the toilet, forcing me to hold up my 30 year-old son while he…you know. I’m not sure if SC has laws like Ohio does, but surely the US Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should be addressed.

This was my first time in a while visiting La Chalupa. The place was crowded on a Friday evening. Didn’t realize they had buffet. I just had appetizers and Margaritas. The drinks were really good and reasonable priced too. Service was great. I was seated immediately when I walked in. I will be back to try some items on the menu next time.

Super cute resturant current celebrating 25 years. We were greates promptly and seated when we got there at 430. Came here for the buffet. Food was warm and countertop consistently cleaned. Waiter was very helpful. We paid $33 for two people for the buffet. You can also order from a menu if you prefer. It was worth the drive. Also, bathrooms were spotless and huge. I was impressed with the constant cleaning of the place as well.

Where has this place been all my life. This amazing quaint place has a Mexican buffet with all of the necessary items that make the meal. The staff is friendly and takes care of their guests. The buffet is sanitary and gloves are provided for the health and safety of patrons. You have got to plan a date to try out this diamond in the rough!!!!!!!!!

Never been to a Mexican restaurant with a small little buffet. I got to say that was pretty awesome.. unfortunately I give 4 stars because the buffet doesn’t offer vegetarian options or fish it’s just beef And such. I did get a 13 dollar shrimp fajita which was really good. They did have a vegetarian options on the menu. I definitely will be back.
