Our server Brian was amazing!!! We wanted for nothing. Started off with water and bread and butter. The butter was ridiculous…browned butter with honey thyme and oregano. We then ordered cocktails. My husband had a vodka w a splash of lemonade and I had the Hora de Te. It was delicious and presentation so pretty in a beautiful china teacup and saucer. We ordered a bottle of Whispering Angel rose. We shared an appetizer of the octopus. I have never had anything so delicious. For dinner my husband ordered the swordfish which came piping hot with delicious beans. I ordered the scallops with corn. My only complaint was I had to ask for a spoon because I wanted every kernel and every drop of juice!!!!

Everything was soooo good!!! My friend and I were having full-on foodgasms from start to finish.
We started with mocktails, Carrito del Sabor and Buscando Guayaba, both good and reasonably priced.
The Pasta y Queso (gouda croquettes) were delicious! Crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy inside, with that perfect salty gouda + sweet guava combo that just works. Absolute standout. We had to get a second order
For mains, we had the Whole Branzino and the Prime New York Steak, both cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. Nothing felt heavy or overdone, just really well executed.
Shoutout to our waitress Valerie, who was amazing… attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. We switched from inside to outside seating because it was freezing indoors, and she handled it smoothly with no issues.
Bonus: we got a 10% discount since we had just come from the Casa Bacardi tour, which was a nice little surprise and much appreciated.
Between the food, the drinks, the service, and the unexpected discount… 20/10 experience. Came hungry, left happy (and very full). Would absolutely go back.

The decoration, the atmosphere, the music, the elegance, all come together beautifully at La Central by Mario Pagan. We walked in hoping for a table, but ended up sitting at the bar. The experience, in my opinion, was probably better. The bartenders are really good at their craft and super attentive. We ordered Old fashions, along with the Batata en Almibar salad, the Tomahawk stake, and the Pumpkin cheesecake, all to share between my wife and I. What a lovely evening!

With the prices on the menu I was surprised that they even charged me for a 1 oz side of au jus for the $90 ribeye. We also shared a liter of sparking water. The server Continued to fill our glasses without ever asking if we’d like to add another bottle to our bill. Shady upselling tactics like this make dining on the island almost impossible. The food was delicious and I’ll happily return but I’ll be a little bit more reserved when ordering.

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant and whole environment at the Distrito were fabulous and fun. We enjoyed sirloin steak, roasted chicken and wine from their extensive wine list. Cocktail selections were also great. Both the food and service were excellent. We will be back.

My girlfriend and I have had this restaurant on our list for a long time, given Chef Mario Pagán’s incredible reputation. We finally visited today, and it was honestly one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of the charcoal grill sets the stage. The decor, the ambiance, and the sheer professionalism of the staff are out of this world.
We want to give a special shout-out to our server, Kristal. She was incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive, with a deep knowledge of the menu that truly elevated our meal. She deserves high recognition for her excellence. As for the food—the steaks were cooked to perfection, the sides and drinks were phenomenal, and the mocktails and dessert were the perfect finishing touches. Highly recommended; we will be returning very soon!

Kelvin & Giancarlo were wonderful bartenders. Both were attentive, calm, kind and made excellent dirty martinis. I enjoyed the Beef Tartare & Batata/Burrata.
Both the small plates and martinis averaged about $20 per so plan to open your wallet.
I was pleasantly surprised all around considering its location in Distrito T-Mobile. There was a band playing in the bar and my parking was validated for extra bonus.

So this review is solely for the Cigar lounge in La Central. This was a very nice cigar lounge and it has a great spacious room with perfect ventilation. Also it’s very clean and modern . This lounge of course has a humidor and supplies for use while smoking. You can purchase drinks and food while enjoying your cigars. The customer service is also very good and attentive without being pushy. I will definitely return whenever I visit San Juan Puerto Rico.
