Yummmm… huge fan. The tortillas are homemade, the ceviche was so fresh. I have been back several times since the opening. Local family owned and extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Update: Came for their $1 tacos (on Fridays) and a Mexican soda ($3). Service from the gentleman is always excellent! Food was great and hot. There is now a salsa bar and more space to move around! Great improvements, keep it up!
Older review: I have been here twice so far. Their customer service has been great but what I haven’t enjoyed is that on both visits my food has been cold. First time with pozole, it was lukewarm at best. The second visit with mini tacos, cold tortillas and some meats not warm. Both occasions we ate on-site. Atmosphere is good with music and papel picado (mexican paper decor), but I think they could remove a table or two on the edges as it’s quite cramped.

So delicious! Love the food❤️ Love the home made tortillas (freshly made) quesabirrias are delicious and the ceviche is so good! We will be back for more.

When I first walked in, I’ll admit — I was suspicious. The place was empty, and for a moment I wondered if I’d made a mistake. Was there something I didn’t know? Should I have played it safe and gone to McDonald’s like everyone else?
I’m glad I stayed.
The food was fantastic — freshly prepared, full of flavor, and genuinely satisfying. The plate was generous without being overwhelming: tasty rice, creamy refried beans sprinkled with cheese, and a hearty, well-seasoned main dish topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and a drizzle of crema. Every bite felt homemade, in the best sense of the word.
The service was just as good — friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. It felt like they were genuinely happy I was there, and that kind of authentic warmth is harder to find these days than it should be.
As for why no one else was there? Honestly, it’s their loss. Maybe they’re all still playing it safe at McDonald’s. If so, they’re missing out on a hidden gem that deserves a lot more love.
I’ll definitely be back — and next time, I’m bringing friends.

I tried the chicken enchiladas and the Birria tacos, hands-down the best I have ever had. When I originally ordered, I was thinking Mexican restaurants are everywhere with so many choices. I thought it was just gonna be another Mexican restaurant! I was so surprised your food is absolutely top-notch! I loved the beans and rice. Also definitely not average. Your entire cuisine is unique and delicious. Hats off to you for the great job and I’ll definitely see you again soon.

Went in today to have some yummy Mexican food and we were NOT disappointed. It was absolutely delicious. I had the asada quesadilla and my husband had the birria tacos. Their salsas are out of this world! I love that they have a salsa bar. Very friendly too. I can’t wait to go back.

Had lunch there today as an afterthought. So glad we did! The food is fresh and authentic with plentiful servings. Of all the area (Independence, Monmouth, Dallas) Mexican restaurants, I would rank this in the top two. The man at the counter and server was friendly and appreciative of our patronage. HUGE menu that included some hard-to-find specialties, like posole. We will definitely be eating there again and often.

We loved La Cazuela! We ate here on Independence Day before the show and fireworks on the riverfront. It was great!
The food was very good, their service was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome!
An authentic Taqueria experience.
I had the ceviche. It was mildly acidic and the shrimp and imitation crab were very tasty.
But our favorite was the refried beans! Very flavorful. We all loved them, including the kids.

My husband and I were here last night, and it was the best restaurant we’ve eaten in town yet. I had the steak tacos and a lime margarita, and my husband had the mole. Excellent dishes. We will definitely be returning
