I once heard someone say “leave your passport at home, la cazuela brings the DR to you” and boy were they ever right. The food here is authentic , hot, and made with love and consistency. It’s like that one crazy ex that slashes your tires ,emails your boss pretending to be you, and shows up to your grandmas church “just to say hi”: So hot that it just keeps me coming back. I did not get a chance to enjoy my food I had the options to pick Chinese Food or La Cazuela. I should’ve ordered Chinese food instead. I ordered chicken with white rice and beans the chicken was dry like it was sitting all morning and overcooked with no flavor. The white rice taste like nothing I gave the whole tray to my dog.
