You have got to try La Catrina. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with amazing colors and smells. The music goes along with the whole experience. The service is amazing and the people are so nice. The decorations are incredible and the food is so good. Come try this place and it won’t disappoint—I promise.

Place was half full. Took 20 minutes to get chips. Server keep saying I will be right back & it took at least 10 minutes every time. It looked like they had 2 or 3 servers for a small venue, but everything was super slow getting to us. Even took 15 minutes to get a check when we were done. We were there 1 1/2 hrs. & It was only because of the service was so slow. Food was only OK. I have had way better Posole elsewhere. I worked as a bartender at a restaurant about that same size. We would have been out of business fast if we were that slow.
I normally don’t complain, but this business won’t make it with Luna’s across the street. Luna’s has better prices on food , more choices, way better service. We were really hoping for better from the reviews. Must of been from workers or family.

My family and I went to grab a bite a few nights ago, absolutely wonderful experience. Food was delicious and our server was fantastic. I had the tacos al carbon, my wife had the birria tacos, both were excellent. Guacamole was super fresh. Margaritas were really good. Finished it off with cheesecake.
Can’t wait to go back, very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. I’d encourage everyone to go out and give it a try. We need quality restaurants in the heart of Friendswood.

2 stars because the food was good, but the service was abysmally incompetent and slow to non-existent. No hostess, and it was if it was the server’s first serving job ever…maybe even first job ever. They kept telling us “it’s our first week”. Ok…maybe staff with enough people and the right people if you want customers to return? Especially on your first Friday night. Agree with the other reviewer that the owner’s friends and family must have posted the other reviews. Disappointing.
