Im giving this place 4 stars because the staff was very polite and attentive and the food was pretty good. Im from California which has the hands down best mexican food in the country so im a bit of a critic when it comes to mexican restaurants. I went in for dinner and the food here wasn’t bad. The caldo de res was really flavorful and the meat was tender. I only wish the salsa was more flavorful and had some spice because it was pretty bland except for the spicier salsa they gave me for my soup. I also had a michilada which was one of the better ones I’ve had in this area so far. ones I’ve had in this area so far.

We enjoyed lunch at La Catrina Tapatia today. There were three of us and we all loved our lunch entrees. The Chimichanga I had was the best ever. The restaurant is clean and attractive and the server was very attentive, great suggestions and checked on us a couple times to see if we needed anything. And… I can’t forget the $5 Margaritas! They were perfect. What more can you ask for in a Mexican restaurant. You won’t be disappointed if you visit. Try it..you’ll like it.

Been coming here for several years and have never been disappointed. The food and service is amazing, a family operated business and they make us feel part of the family. Prices are very reasonable and a major plus, the restaurant is extremely clean along with their restrooms. I highly recommend and encourage anyone to stop by for a great meal.

I’ve been eating at this restaurant since they first opened. And, I eat here at the very least, once a week. Why? Because their food is absolutely delicious. And, the quality of the food and the tastiness of it is always consistent. I usually get one of their shrimp dishes. The shrimp is very tasty. All of their food is very fresh tasting. Service is always friendly and quick. And don’t forget to have a piece of their flan. Oh my! Some of the best flan I’ve ever eaten. This place will not disappoint! Enjoy!

My chicken chimichanga was delicious! Friendly and fast service and the chips and salsa hit the spot! The ambiance was pleasant and the music was not too loud. My husband had the birria tacos and he said they were delicious! I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back!!

We visited La Catrina Tapatia 2 days ago after spending almost 4 hrs at the Blue Springs State Park ! this restaurant was within minutes oft the Park ! We were served by Angel , who was extremely polite and respectful. He was very efficient and also accommodated us as we were sitting outside ! The food was delicious ( shrimp quesadilla/ chile rellenos/ cheesecake flan ) and was prepared pretty quickly while we enjoyed there homemade chips and salsa!
