I’m always on the hunt for amazing and authentic Mexican food, and this place was perfect! Honestly my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the Indianapolis area.
I ordered the quesabirria tacos (always my go-to) and they were some of the best I’ve ever had.
My Mexican partner ordered a burrito that had some rice in it, and he said it tasted just like his mom’s, I saw the his face light up!
The workers were amable y humilde, and consistently checked on us.
Would highly recommend La Catrina!

I’m my picture it goes 2 fried steak (brisket) tacos, one steak, and one marinated beef (barria) taco…. Man all were fire… Steak is married great, the barria was amazing.. even the flour barria (sorry spelling) . Also juices are made there too!

The service was excellent, and the food was even better! Steak tacos, nachos supreme were very flavorful. We felt very welcome and appreciated there. Would definitely return!

We saw La Catrina recommended on the Indy Local Foodie page and decided to check it out yesterday for lunch. Wow, what a fantastic experience. We were immediately greeted and seated by Judith who also took care of us during our meal.
We started with some complimentary, homemade chips with their super fresh salsa that had great flavor. We then ordered some choriqueso, sopas, quesabirria, arroz con pollo and horchata. Literally everything was fantastic. Fresh ingredients and homemade with love. Judith was attentive to our needs and really just incredibly sweet to us. She even brought out a free pineapple water for us and a bag of chips for our leftovers.
We really just can’t say enough good things about this place. Do yourself the favor and check them out. Great food and great people always equals a great experience.

We dined in with a group of 12 and although it was a small space, they did our best to accommodate our number. The food was delicious and authentic, coming from native San Diegans!
We had a wonderful time and went back a couple days later just to try some different tacos. Big thanks to the owner for bringing some GREAT food to this area.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place while we were in the area. It was delicious! We decided on tortas and I’m so glad we did. We got torta suadero and asada. The portions were huge and the torta bread was perfect. If you know about tortas- you know the goodness of it is very dependent on the bread the waitress was kind and explained every question we had on the menu as well as explaining the different types of salsas that they make in house. They are a newer restaurant and definitely deserve the business! Make sure you don’t miss this place because it is delicious

The food was delicious and service was amazing. Hands down the best tamale I have ever had in my life. Generous portion sizes, all of the meat was tender, I could have had the tamale and a taco and been full. We happened to stop while in the area and I will now be making the 45 minute trip on a regular basis for my tamale fix.
