Loved the shredded pork and stringy cheese Honduran Tamale wrapped in a banana leaf, it stayed moist and the masa flour had a nice flavor. The three pupusas for $15 were filling. Not much flavor to the masa flour, but inside had a mild delicious cheese. The curtido marinated cabbage would have more flavor if shredded thicker in my opinion and the tomato water dipping sauce was very mild; so I added the table provided hot sauce to perk the dish up. On the last visit I tried the fried chicken entrée, smothered in the marinated cabbage mixture. It’s too messy to eat by hand, so shredded the meat. Good size portion. A next to me customer had the carna asada, that is what I’ll try next time. This is the former location of Pizzalchik and Alpine Pizza so the dining areas are laid out strange. Perhaps once a family side and a bar side, but the bar not really used now. Dining area has outside windows, however is dark inside, even at lunch. That’s not the current tenants fault, still looks temporary. Service was friendly, if you peek around the corner from the order menu banner, you can see the food being prepared fresh.

This place is awesome! Latin food is different than Mexican food. The pupusa‘s are fantastic. The tacos have actual flavor. The tortillas are handmade fresh and the salsa was excellent! Can’t wait to come back.

This was our second time at the Catracha restaurant in Boise, Idaho. We thought the customer service would get better but we soon realized that was erroneous, it got worse. The servers are so RUDE so unattentive, we had to go looking for them SEVERAL times just pay. After waiting for a long time for our dinner and for a take out order as well our food FINALLY made it to our table after an hour plus! it’s UNACCEPTABLE! and the woman didn’t care she acted more rude (if that was even possible). After that experience I went to their website to read their reviews…this is a trend. How they get five stars is beyond me. I believe those have to be friends and family. Save your money these are not even Salvadorian authentic pupusas or curtido. Go watch the YouTube channels that teach you how to make Salvadorian pupusas and food. You’ll enjoy a pleasant evening with your family and friends instead of having to deal with these awful people that have chosen to be rude and not care about their customers. My husband and I, and other members of my family will NEVER make that mistake again and return to that AWFUL PLACE…

Food was awesome!

Important thing to realize about this restaurant, at least when we went there, they don’t bring the check to the table, you have to go and ask for it. (They might even ask you what you ordered like they did for us… It is considered rude in some countries to bring the check to the table without being asked for it.

I will definitely be back, the quesadilla also had lettuce in it, which I’m not used to. But it was amazing!

The salsa that came with the quesadilla, had really good heat, not just a front of the mouth heat like some salsa. This one really stayed with you. I highly recommend!

I visited this restaurant on 9/13 for my daughter’s bday. We were a party of 8. They had ample room to accommodate us. The food came out very quickly and hot. We enjoyed pupusas, pork and cheese. Torta, baleadas, corn tamale, steak quesadilla. I have enjoyed pupusas all my life and have been around the TV to try various places! These are hands down the best. They are bigger than my hand and very cheese! The curtido ( cabbage slaw) is finely chopped and adds great flavor! Will be back! Includes is the pic of pupusas and only 1 of the 2 baleadas. I was able to bring enough home for another meal.

I came here with ny parents and friend and it was great. The cashier was great she took our order and made sure she got everything right. The wait was the longest part. We had ordered about 6 items and it took almost 1 hour. Everything must have been made witn love. They gave us our drinks about 10 minutes before the food came. Every beverage is bottled or canned. The food was pretty good, I especially enjoyed the beef and chicken pastelitos. They were cooked very well and they didnt skimp on the meat. I also had a pupusa which was okay. The masa wasnt too flavorful but they packed it pretty well. 7/10.
