La Casita Café is an absolute gem! The Mexican food is nothing short of excellent — fresh, flavorful, and made with the kind of love you can taste in every bite. From the first basket of chips and salsa to the last forkful of enchiladas, everything was spot-on.

And the margaritas? Let’s just say the glass is so thick and sturdy it feels like it could survive the apocalypse — and it holds one seriously smooth drink. A true powerhouse of a margarita that pairs perfectly with the food.

Warm, welcoming, and unforgettable — La Casita Café is the kind of spot you’ll crave again and again. Highly recommend!

I called in and ordered ground beef nachos from La Casita Café in Hesperia and waited about 20 minutes. On my second bite, I was trying to figure out if I had lost my sense of taste because the food had zero flavor then my husband noticed the meat was raw and in clumps .
It was my first time there since I was craving nachos, but definitely my last.

**2/25/25**I have been here many times now… excellent customer service! Great place to eat, families, single, kids. Lively atmosphere, almost always busy. Just remember, they are closed on Mondays. Armando is an amazing bartender and always provides the most excellent customer service!!Today I had 2 shredded beef tacos, added cilantro, onions, and lime. I opted for a blended mango margarita with Chammoy and Tajin. I added a shot of Grand Mariner to make it a Cadillac Mango Margarita….soooo delicious!!!I love their salsa. It has a little bite to it, but not too spicy, deliciously garlicky though. They also have a hot salsa, that will make your head sweat. You can add a touch to the regular salsa to make it the heat you like.***Update 1/29/2025 I love that they have a cozy bar, that if you’re by yourself you can just come in and dine at the bar, if there’s an open spot . They have an excellent Cadillac margarita! The customer service is awesome, they are super friendly, remember their regular customer’s names, and a very helpful. Today I ordered shrimp tacos a la carte, I asked for them in the hard shell this time, they came with cabbage, onion and cilantro. I asked for extra lime and I made a garlic mayo to add on. The shrimp were grilled, which was awesome! They were super delicious. I LOVE their chips, perfect thickness and crispness, buttery flavor, not greasy tasting at all. Good salsa. New picture added.

9/2024 This is only my 3rd time here…not sure why, because their food is delicious. The customer service was an 8 out of 10. Friendly, attentive, and timely. They are closed on Mondays. I ordered to go, the other 2 times I ate there. Excellent customer service all 3 times.

I ordered fish tacos, shrimp tacos, carne asada street tacos, and a large order of chips and salsa.

The fish and shrimp were not too heavily breaded, crispy, and flavorful. They only put cabbage on them. They should have had cilantro and onions as well. While the fish and shrimp were cooked expertly, they were very plain. The cilantro and onions would definitely have helped, but they really needed a little crema or garlic mayo. I added some at home and it made a huge difference, in my opinion. The tortillas would have been better and not fallen apart so easily if they were lightly fried in oil, like the street tacos were. The street tacos were also delicious. The carne asada was tender and flavorful with no gristle.

The large chips and salsa were ridiculous! The large salsa was the perfect size. Not too spicy, a little garlicky, and very flavorful. The chips were warm, crispy, not too much salt, so buttery…mmmmm. But the bag of chips was HUGE. Half that size would have been perfect with that size of salsa, in my opinion.

I heard that the ownership has changed since my other two visits, but the customer service and quality remains the same or better.☺️

I definitely recommend them and I will be back…

The waitress did not want to pick up the dishes. She was waiting for the busboy. The table was crowded and she didn’t care. We had to look for her to ask her for things. The food was alright. The potatoes and fajitas were the best thing we had. The chilaquiles verdes had the scramble eggs mixed in with the chips and it was gross. This was the second time we came after this service, we decided not to come back.

I have been here for 20 years – but not very often during those 20 years. I no longer live in Hesperia, but if I did this would likely be a once a month stop for me for sure. Food is good, servers were great – though a little distracted because they learned the day I was there that the owner had sold the place to a new team. Hopefully nothing will change – time will tell I guess!

I been coming to LA Casita with my family for over forty years and since they sold thr business this place has unfortunately gone down hill amd its very sad. The waitstaff is still great but you can see the portion sizes have been significantly reduced. Barely get any chips or salsa. Took over an hour to get our meals which usually are super quick and it wasn’t even during a busy hour. Nothing seems the same. Sorry to say but may be my last trip to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Good luck to them and hopefully this review helps them to return back to when things were so amazing here

I stopped by this cozy spot on Main Street and was immediately welcomed by the aroma of sizzling spices and warm tortillas. I ordered the carne asada quesadilla, and it was packed with flavor—tender beef, sautéed onions, and peppers, all wrapped in a freshly made tortilla. The side of refried beans and salad complemented the dish perfectly. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. However, the wait time for our food was longer than expected, and the place was quite busy, which made it a bit noisy. Despite these minor issues, the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere made it a worthwhile visit
