We’ve gone to La Casita several times over the years and always enjoyed everything. There’s so many restaurant choices around and they are a stand out from the quick and attentive service to the great food and good prices. Tonight I got the LC special with chicken fajitas and it was very good. My wife got the 3 crispy tacos they are stuffed full and had a great flavor. Definitely a great value for the prices.

One thing I would note is the water tastes a little like well water, it’s not bad, I drank several glasses but my wife didn’t love it. You could always order a soda if it tastes funny to you.

Plenty of parking and the place was very clean. We will definitely be back.

This is one of our favorite places for Mexican food. It’s got delicious food at reasonable prices. When you first sit down the staff will bring out complimentary all you can eat salsa & chips. Be careful you might get full before your order comes out. Their sour cream chicken enchiladas are a must try. I did not get it this time because I was craving their beef fajitas and tacos. The place is decorated Mexican style of course but what is unique are the table tops. It is a collage of various businesses that pay to advertise. The staff comes around to ask if we need anything several times so service is very good. This place is family owned since 1976 and the friendly greetings and smiling staff shows it.

Look, Tom Hanks used to come here when he was filming Apollo 13 (see video for proof) and so I came while filming shy’s 39th year of life reunion and the sour cream Enchiladas are as equally as delicious as they were a decade ago, probably even multiple decades ago when Tom was in his prime. You also can learn fun weird facts about Friendswood on the adver-tables. Like did you know Friendswood is called Friendswood because it was founded by Quakers aka Friends? Well now you do. The most random location, good food, great service, Friendswood facts. 10/10

my father and i went yesterday..(3/4/26) we’ve gone here for years and have never experienced something like this.

when it came time to pay my dad mentioned he had already left tip at the table. the lady taking payments handed him “his” receipt with a whole other order/transaction on it. saying we had to pay $57 but our order had came out to $40 and some cents. She forcefully kept trying to make him sign it until i checked and told her “that’s not our order, we had 2 poboys and a kids meal” she finally checked if after 3 attempts and making me dad sign it. she said “omg! i’m so sorry , that was my mistake” mind you, she had already charged him for the $57. so now she proceeded to charge him with the correct one..and when we checked he got charged including tip..but we left CASH AT THE TABLE. why is he getting charged almost $40 plus whatever tip she included plus the $57 that SHE MESSED up and admitted to. and again, we left cash at the table so in the end this visit came out to $114 roughly and all she could do was make small talk about other subjects. very upsetting.

I’ve been a patron of La Casita since the early 1980s, and it’s remarkable how little has changed. The food remains exceptional, and the service is consistently excellent; they truly make you feel like family. The atmosphere is wonderful. I fondly recall my high school days when we could leave for lunch, visit the old La Casita building next door, eat, and return to class in under an hour. While times have changed and high school students can no longer leave for lunch, at 56 years old, I still feel like a child at La Casita because of its unchanging charm. Five stars to La Casita for keeping this “old man” feeling young.

very friendly people! we were greeted by several people.

food was ok, desperate need of seasoning. the only flavoring in the guacamole was the salt and pepper we added. the chips are very thin. i can’t believe they don’t break in the bag.

the fajitas are served in a hot skillet, come out sizzling and probably has about 2 whole onions. the fajitas are in need of seasoning too. taste like plain meat.

the cheese enchilada was just gross. the tortilla was hard, microwaved too long i suppose.

the beef enchilada and beef taco were great!!! seasoned good!

service was great!

the table is fun! once you figure out the game!

prices are cheap too!

We have been loyal customers for a couple of years now. We know what dishes we like and usually stick with them. We have even recommended the restaurant to friends and family. My wife tried something different tonight and did not like it at all. The caldo had little taste with overcooked mushy vegetables. The broth did not taste good at all. It happens. However, the owner’s response was underwhelming to the point of insulting. Instead of offering an alternative or a refund she made my wife describe what was wrong with it and then said she would give us a 20% discount on the bowl of soup. $2.55 off a $12.75 bowl of uneaten caldo. I told her I was disappointed that she would lose a customer over $10. Her response was “sorry you feel that way.” We will not be recommending them to anyone anymore and it will be a long time if ever that we will return.

It’s a small little spot, and wasn’t crazy packed at all, actually once we were seated, everyone else seemed to show up… The chips and salsa were delicious, the server was nice and attentive…. Once we ordered our food, it took about 15mins for it to come out, but when it did, it was hot and fresh…. I really have no complaints about this place… Food was amazing and the service was nice, I recommend the Chili Rellano and the sour cream and chicken enchiladas, they were delicious… Will definitely be back to this small little hidden gem.

Nostalgic dinner at La Casita.
This was the ‘go to’ haunt when our kids were young. The ambience and food were as we remembered – perfection.
So grateful for their support of our community.

We went in yesterday for a late lunch early dinner and we had an amazing experience dining in. I took a picture of Mi casa es su casa on the wall because we were made to feel as family. This was not our first time, but we were fortunate enough to go in during a very special occasion. The family was celebrating Mr. Pablo Castillos’s 92nd birthday. We were blessed to have met him and he shared a little bit of his story with us. He gave us a bit of history about the area and how he has been there since 1944. He shared about his days in the service and some wonderful stories that had us fascinated, feeling blessed to be included in his celebration. Rita, his daughter and current owner, also came by and made us feel like family. What a local treasure!! The food and the service were great as always, but I really wanted to share how special this visit was for us yesterday.

Been back many times but just wanted to update how we always love the food, and how we are always treated like family. We love this place!
