Fast forward few years and life events, we decided to return for my birthday dinner.
I shall say this, it is back to being La Casa Pasta of the old and how phenomenal I remember it to be. Joseljne was superb with her service and that set the tone cjus.
The lobster thermidor immediately caught my eye as the last best one I had was in Tanzania an needless to say it was wonderful.
We look forward to returning on our next visit to Delaware.
Our evening was lovely, and exceeded our expectations that were based on our two bad experiences from summertime. Every part of our dining experience from the moment we sat down was spot on.
•place setting was quickly completed by a young man who noticed that there were no forks tucked into the napkins
•we were pleasantly greeted by Zac, our server
•he took our cocktail orders right away, and put the order in while we reviewed the menu
•he returned not long after with our martinis, then proceeded to tell us about specials
•he took our food orders, and mentioned that he’ll bring us bread first
•the bread service arrived promptly
•all our food arrived in a timely manner, prepared well, and was nicely executed as everything tasted delicious and was cooked just right.
I’m happy to say that we had a wonderful experience, and we will eagerly support La Casa Pasta’s if this level of cheerful and professional service continues!
Congratulations to the manager for endeavoring to improve and to have hired good people.
Still, though, the three hostesses lack enthusiasm, lack smiles and lack a welcoming vibe. But, at least they were at their post, which wasn’t the case for us before.
Maybe they ought to practice a welcome greeting in front of a mirror…and work on being comfortable being friendly to customers who are supporting their jobs. Sincere smiles can make all the difference!
Lemoncello cake was phenomenal as was the spicy pasta.
We had gnocchi with pesto, chicken marsala, zucchini flowers, and delicious Irish capoccino. Staff was friendly and on point. Prices are fair, and parking is plenty. This is a place where you can have a first date or a special occasion.
I stepped away to use the restroom for less than five minutes, and when I returned, my steak (with half still left) had been taken away. When I asked about it, the staff simply shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do. No apology. No explanation. Nothing.
This was disappointing, especially considering I came on the recommendation of several high-profile friends who dine here regularly. For a $350 dinner, the least they could have done was acknowledge the mistake instead of making my party feel like they wanted us to leave. We were respectful, calm, and friendly the entire time.
I spoke with the manager, Jaimy, who promised to send me a gift card to make up for the poor treatment. I never received anything. I even called back in October before planning to visit again, and was told they would send another one. It’s now December, and still nothing in the mail.
I’m extremely disappointed in the lack of follow-through, accountability, and overall customer care. After spending that much money, you would expect at least a little respect and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed how I view this restaurant.
TR and Jamie both are incredible managers and that shows with the wait staff and bartenders. Last few times we’ve had Eric as our waiter and he is always prompt and even when I feel like I’m being annoying he still puts up with it with a genuine smile.
Chelsea behind the bar can make a cocktail that will blow your mind. Also another friendly face to see when my wife and I walk in.
I can not stress to you enough to book a reservation and try the food. I recommend the spicy rigatoni with extra garlic.
