Absolutely incredible good and service. They had a wonderful gentleman playing live piano. Best mozzarella sticks in town!!! My boyfriend had spaghetti and meatballs, and I ordered the calabrese lasagna. We both left full & happy. We will definitely be back!!

Went to La Casa Nostra Ristorante last night for the first time with my fiancé and my family who are visiting thanks to my mom finding this place. OFF THE CHARTS! In addition to us all having a spectacular time with the cozy Christmas music playing and the amazing staff, the food was ridiculously good. We ordered the mozzarella sticks (NEVER seen them made this way! For once we weren’t fighting over them because one is PERFECT) as well as the meat lasagna, pork cutlet, gnocchi, and manicotti. I grabbed a bite of everything, and despite not being a pork person, I enjoyed it all so much!! And so did everyone else at the table. The marinara?! Oh my God. The garlic bread? Insane. Our waiter Tony? A GEM! Super funny, super kind, super efficient. And it’s local, family owned, and operated which is the best. You really can’t go wrong here (even the women’s bathroom is awesome. Go look.) Five stars all around. I will be taking all my friends when they visit!

We visited La Casa Nostra for the first time on Valentine’s Day and were so pleasantly surprised. From the moment we walked in, the quaint, cozy decor set the tone for a romantic evening. It felt intimate without being fussy, charming without trying too hard.
The live piano music was absolutely lovely. It added just the right touch of elegance and made the whole evening feel special. Fresh flowers on the table were a beautiful detail that didn’t go unnoticed.
Our waitress was fabulous. Attentive, warm, and perfectly timed with everything. The food was excellent, with generous portions and desert was a real treat although I can’t remember the name of it. Ice cream floating in espresso drizzled with chocolate.
We did have a small reservation mix up when we arrived, so I would suggest double checking your booking just to be safe. That said, the staff handled it graciously and quickly seated us at a truly lovely table, so it hardly dampened the evening.
Overall, a wonderful experience and a Valentine’s dinner we’ll happily remember. We will definitely be back.

My sisters and I celebrated one of my sisters birthday and our waitress was absolutely Devine and enthusiastic. She made our night memorable. We all ordered something different Meat lasagna. Seafood stuffed shells and the stuffed peppers. Thankyou for the wonderful food and great proportions Plus the atmosphere and Italian music lightly playing the background, made everything the more worth while being there Grazie amico mios ❤️

Four of us had dinner here tonight and were first timers. Food, service and atmosphere was excellent. We had Chicken Parm, Spaghetti with meatballs & 2 of us had the Meat lasagna. Portions were just the right size which allowed for some take aways.

We took a chance on this darling restaurant based on Google reviews. They don’t have a website so it was a little difficult to know what to expect. What a gem in the city of Thunder Bay!! The service was impeccable and the food was fantastic! The portion sizes were generous and we both had leftovers. It’s always nice when a salad comes with your meal! My spouse had the chicken parmesan, where he could choose the pasta he wanted. I ordered the seafood lasagna with shrimp, scallops, and crab. The bread is fresh and homemade. I hope to visit again if we ever make it to Ontario again.

Service is so friendly and personable, the atmosphere is great and feels very inviting and comfortable. I definitely felt welcomed. The womens bathroom is so beautiful too with a hand painted mural of Italy. Absolutely beautiful. The live piano player is excellent and adds a luxurious touch to your dinner experience.
And now the food! The pizza is the best I ever had, and I usually hate pizza. The mozzarella sticks are huge and gooey, the tiramisu is so soft and velvety. And the chicken parm is MY FAVE! It’s to die for!!! I also had the Italian salad, and the dressing is just perfect on the salad.
10/10 you have to go here!!!! And ask for Miranda she’s amazing!!!

I gave my Mom a gift certificate to LA Casa Nostra Ristorante as a Christmas gift but it closed before she could use it. The new owners honoured the gift certificate and hosted a wonderful evening for her and Joe. The following is the text she sent me when they got home:

At first we were a little sceptical walking in but wow! The service was phenomenal and the food was perfect! We are from Ottawa/Toronto area and let me tell you, you do not see a lot of classic real Italian food like this these days. The chef clearly puts his heart into the food he presents to costumers and the owner should be rightfully proud to own this place. Thank you for such an amazing night!

Great authentic Italian restaurant with quality service and quality food. Owner stopped by for a visit and you could tell he was proud of his restaurant and his food! There was live piano music played during dinner which was very cool. All the dishes at our table were beautifully presented. There was bread and garlic butter served with the meal. As well, most meals came with a small oil n vinegar salad. The kids loved the pizza. My only negatives are that the tables are fit tightly together so that the backs chairs from different tables touch and because if this, it’s a pretty loud atmosphere. As well, as amazing as the food is, the prices on certain items were a little out of line …ie a small soup for $14. Overall though, great experience and will visit again!
