When I first moved to El Paso and found this restaurant I was so excited for some authentic Dominican food having grown in a Puerto Rican Dominican family. The first few months I ordered the food was a hit! I was even recommending it to coworkers, it was reminding me of family members cooking and everything. However, recently the quality has taking a nose dive. The bistec encebollado is over cooked and chewed, the beans have started to taste watery and the pechuga al ajillo is completely different no longer coming with a creamy garlic sauce and now coming with a yellow juice as the sauce that is lacking in flavor as well as the chicken having no flavor at all. I ordered a pastelillo with chicken and cheese and was very disappointed when I bit into it to find it barely had any chicken inside. I’ve tried going a few days or weeks without ordering hoping it was just a bad day but unfortunately this is now a reoccurring issue. I’m not sure if the recipes have changed or the cooks are different but I am very disappointed with the experiences I’ve had the last 3 months. Especially since this is the only Dominican food on this side of town. I hope I’m the only one who has unfortunately had these experiences because I was very excited to have found such a taste place and now am left with complete disappointment especially because the prices are very high at this establishment as well and the quality is not matching.

The food here is soo good and truly authentic. We ordered the sancocho and “los tres golpes,” and both were delicious. We also tried the beef and cheese empanadas, and everything was full of flavor and really well prepared.

It was my first time dining here and I had such a great experience! The customer service was wonderful from start to finish, and I have to admit the food was absolutely delicious. Everything came out fresh and full of flavor. I even remember when we first moved to the area and someone was passing out flyers for this place — I’m so glad we finally decided to try it. I will definitely be a returning customer and I can’t wait to come back!

Honestly hands down the greatest meal I’ve ever had. I can’t explain it enough how perfectly plated and delicious everything was. The service feels like I’m back home eating with family. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. Every detail was handled with care, and we never had to ask for anything twice. Truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had—highly recommended!

First time eating here. The food was delicious. Ordered sancocho, shrimp with mushrooms, cheese empanada, white rice with beans, and tostonez. Really recommend the agua fresca de guayaba. Service was great, very friendly and helpful with all our questions. Atmosphere was ok but the music was too loud for the small restaurant, we had trouble hearing each other across our own table. Prices are a little high but over the top.

For the past 21 plus years, I have supported every Caribbean restaurant that has opened in El Paso, Tx. This is the first one in which everything from the welcome greeting, appetizer, entrees and the coffee afterwards were simply OUTSTANDING. Our special compliments to the waitress, the owner’s daughter. We wish them continued success!!!
