I think the lions mane mushroom taco is the best vegetarian taco I’ve ever had. Ever. The regular veggie options are insanely good as well and the meat options look and smell like they are winners too. You can really tell the chef puts a lot of thought and care into his flavors. Bonus that the chef is also a super nice guy. Love this place, Indian River is so lucky to have this gem of a food truck.

If I could give no star I would. Honestly first time here and I got a steak quesadilla and my boyfriend 3 tacos with beans and rice. Honestly .. beans were the best thing of the dish.. probably canned. Meat was tough, and corn tortillas were too charred it tasted burnt. No flavor at all.

I was thrilled to discover that La Casa de Rosas was open on a Wednesday evening in January – what a treat! I ordered the carne asada tacos with an extra cheesy shell, along with beans and rice, and a butternut squash soup topped with chorizo, crema, and pumpkin seeds. Everything was absolutely delicious. The beef and pork were perfectly seasoned with just the right crisp edge, and the fresh, balanced flavors made the entire meal outstanding.
I also took home a freshly made soup Chef Rodrigo had just finishedStreet Corn Chicken Chowder—for my roommate, and he loved it. We’ll definitely be back for more before it sells out. I’ve been enjoying La Casa de Rosas’ authentic Mexican cuisine since they first opened, and it is always worth the drive from my home on Little Traverse Bay.

Amazing. We decided to stay at an air BNB close by. Search for restaurants near me and first one to pop up. Not only is the food amazing. The conversation as we order and waited, was top. ❤️
This is why we like traveling. Husband and wife story similar to ours. Amazing. Since I work in this area from one of our customers. I’m coming back now again and again. Well done. When you open a restaurant. We will drive from Ohio just for it Loved the mercado as well. Highly recommend.

Loveeeee these tacos! Perfect traditional Mexican style tacos with THE best salsas! The owner was so friendly and you can tell he is really excited and proud of the food he creates. We tried the carnitas, al pastor, chicken, and carne asada and all were incredibly delicious. The pork blew us away though- crispy on the outside and super juicy. Can’t wait to have these again!

This food is magnificent! The birria is so delightful with the beef tip quesadilla, seriously this soup makes me shiver with satisfaction. The pork and pineapple taco might be one of the BEST tacos I’ve ever had. Hands down the best Mexican food in northern Michigan. I will come back again and again! Thank you!!!

I thought this place was great! I’ve had a hard time finding good Mexican food since moving to Northern Michigan and this place definitely fills a void. My sister and I stopped in and shared 3 tacos. I’m super stoked is close to my house and can’t wait to go back.

First off this place isn’t a restaurant it’s a trailer in a food truck park which is conveniently on Northland Brewery’s property.
They are doing the classic’s proper! I went for the combo with 3 different flavors, they are served the right way on double corn tortillas with onion and cilantro. Cucumber and radishes on the side are a nice touch as well that you don’t get very often around these parts.
The first I tried was the Carnitas, wonderful crispy on the outside and soft on the inside pork cooked in its own fat.
The second was Pollo (chicken) is a great choice for the the non adventurous or someone with spicy sensitivity.
The third was the Al Pastor, well seasoned pork with roast pineapple. This was likely my favorite of the three, but it’s hard to choose because they all were stellar.
Thier salsa verde and roja are flavorful and have a great heat balance. They complement and don’t over power.
These are the best tacos I’ve eaten in Northern Michigan. Real deal done right!
