We absolutely love eating here and it has become one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. We actually drive about an hour from home just to come here, passing at least six other Mexican restaurants along the way. That alone says a lot about how good the food is.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is consistently really good. The menu has something for everyone—there’s a kids menu, large meals, smaller meals, and even options where you can create your own meal.
For our family of four, the price is pretty average for eating out right now, usually around $65, and the food is definitely worth it.
The only small downside is that when it gets busy, it can be very loud in the restaurant and sometimes it’s a little difficult to have a conversation at the table. But that’s also a sign of how popular the place is.
Overall, it’s well worth the drive and we will definitely keep coming back!

BEST HOURS IN TOWN!
By far the BEST restaurant in town! The staff, food, hours and service all make this place an amazing stop at any hour.
Fresh chips and salsa come out moments after you sit down. Prices are very reasonable. Food is very tasty and authentic. I came here with a friend we had several amazing dishes.
The booths make this a great place conversations with family or dates.
I recommend this place to anyone who come to Maquoketa.

Come for a margaritas stay for the molcajete. That savory soup was just damn good. Caryn’s Carne Asada was cooked to perfection. We really liked the pictures throughout the restaurant. So many times mexican restaurants look like they use the same designer. I found their pictures unique and edgy. The portions and fair prices greatly exceed expectations. I wish we hand this gem back home.

I started with the nacho fries. The fries were soggy as heck. The dish wss loaded with grease. So much grease it was inedible.(see photo). The main course was ok. I had a lg combo of a taco (beef),the shell was soggy on one side from laying it on all that lettuve and smsll diced tomato. The tamale for a frozen reheated tamale wasn’t too bad. The enchilada was alright. Spanish rice was extremly bland and the tefried beans were ok. The staff were friendly and spot on. Bathroom clean. I give it 2 stars. I may try it again at a later date.

La casa de Pancho serves great mexican dishes. Their prices and portions are good. They have a great variety of alcoholic drinks. We ordered piña coladas, and they were delicious.
The service was great, accurate, friendly, and prompt.
They have a family oriented atmosphere. Great decorations, I loved their chairs and tables filled with Mexican revolution prints.
The food came out in a timely manner, hot and delicious.
The price we paid for the food was adequate. We had a party of 5 all ordered full dish and drinks, and our bill came out to 85$.
I will definetly be back and recommend.
