Best place in town to get an acp and prices are the best . They don’t cheap out on the cheese too & it’s not runny it is so good . Chicken is also very tender and delicious… and it’s every time . Love stopping to get lunch here

Just outside the blue ridge mountain parkway. The restaurant looks good. The complementary tortilla chips and tortillas were a little greasy. The salsa was more like pasta tomato sauce, so not that great. The chicken fajita was good. The birria was good, but there was no consomé (stew) as indicated in the menu description. If you want a stew make sure to ask otherwise you would get tacos. We asked and got a small saucer.

Stopped in for lunch…..new to the area and looking for good mexican…ordered the alambre and was delicious…..food still steaming from kitchen…..beans and rice very good….. definitely will be coming back

Wow! That was one of the best if not the best Mexican meal I can recall! Everything home made. Their salsa was perfection. I encouraged to owner to bottle and sell it. Service was perfect. Going back with my wife when she returns. Try it, you’ll like it!!

OK, tried this place a second time when we came to town today. It’s an OK place. It does have a full bar. The restrooms, which I did not use last time, have much to be desired.
Many things wrong with the meal. Again, the chips and dip are very meh. Not a lot of spice and what appears to be old chips. We asked for un-sweet tea, but they had no zero calorie sweetener.
I ordered the mojarra frita, it was very well fried. Highlight of the meal. But unfortunately, it took them a while to bring out my tortillas and first brought out corn when I asked for flour. By the time that I finally got my tortillas, the meal was cold.
My wife got some shrimp in a verde sauce, but the sauce was very unusual, too spicy and too thin, like you just poured a thin sauce on it. Also, they did not bring out the salad, rice and beans, so she had to wait for that.
We received very friendly service, but it was like they barely knew what they were doing in running a restaurant. Unfortunately, we’ll not be back.

The food, service, atmosphere… All of it are amazing. Attentive staff, they even packed me a to-go birria sauce for my gringa because I loved my husband’s sauce for his quesobirria tacos so much. Packed my chips up for me too. I’m making all my coworkers jealous with my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. We don’t even like cilantro and the salsa was still amazing. Plus the atmosphere is great, the tables are a work of art, and I love the Frida Kahlo hanging up. We used to go to Dobson to get good authentic Mexican food. Not anymore, La Casa Bonita all the way.

This was excellent Mexican food! Went there for dinner with the family first time tonight and it did not disappoint. Went had shrimp fajita, chicken fajita, chicken burrito and quesa birria tacos. Everything was excellent. The shrimp was tender (I often recieve overcooked shrimp at Mexican restaurants). Also we shared a cheese dip for the table and it was so good (lots of flavor beyond just heated queso). We highly recommend.

This was the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. If I could give it a 0 I would! The salsa was good and the guacamole was good but I couldn’t eat anything else! There was maybe 1 tablespoon of meat in the 3 taco looking thing they served me and above the same amount of meat in my husband’s meal! The Mole sauce wasn’t eatable! I still can not get the taste out of my mind, because it was so nasty!!! You couldn’t pay me to go back there!!

I’m not sure where the good reviewers ate, but it was not this place. My wife and I thought the food was just awful. The fried tacos were just inedible. The rice was the worst I have ever had and the mole sauce was strange. Service was not good and the 4.5 rating was definitely misleading. So, do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
