First time here and it was awesome. Food was delicious and the margaritas was perfect. They have different sizes or margaritas and you can taste the flavor and tequila in it. The tacos was tasty and I like how they serve everything on the side. My new favorite Mexican restaurant.

Jose has this place running smooth all of the time. My gf and I come here at least 3 times a month. Great atmosphere and even better food. Their cheese is like the best cheese on the planet! Service is always top notch as well. Love that the salsa is chunky and has just enough spice. Prices are amazing. We never leave spending more than 40 with tip.

We had a party of 8. The youngest asked for lettuce tacos. The server asked if is just lettuce to which she said yes. Her mother then advised that she wants tacos but with lettuce instead of a tortilla. If the instructions were not clear the server should’ve asked more questions. I’ve never in my life seen someone served a plate of shredded lettuce with a smile. Not only that, we never received the additional chips and salsa requested. Plus, to top it off our plates were never removed. So we were sitting on top of empty plates. I’ve been to La Carreta before and everything was wonderful. This time not so much

So I go here a lot, been going for years. But, after the service I had today I will never be back again. The waiter messed up my order , had an attitude because she messed up my order and I told her I didn’t want it anymore. Not only did she mess up my order she messed it up 3 times. I ordered tacos to go and waited for 20mins and she never returned with my food or receipt. We had to go to get our own check and they give us a $65 bill, I tell the cashier the receipt is wrong, he printed another receipt yet again for the wrong price at $54. He stated he’s discounted the meal for the extra charges but the bill still say $54. Now at this point I’m mad and it’s now a big seen. All we ordered was rice for $3.49 and two 12.99 meals and a drink that was between 6.99-9.99 how do that equal out to $65 let alone $54. When he finally took off the extra charges it was $41 which was correct for what we ordered. Granted The money isn’t the issue, the issue is the fact that your trying to charge me for a service that I never received. And not ONCE DID THE CASHIER OR WAITER APOLOGIZE about the terrible service we received. In fact the waiter had the nerve to say yeah watever like she hadn’t been messing up my order since I been their is crazy to me. You want good service don’t attend here, they have a location in Merriville Indiana been going to that one for years too and they definitely had better service. I just come to this location because it’s closer but not anymore for sure.

Food was not seasoned, the portions were tiny, shrimp was raw, guacamole was spoiled lile that old taste, onions in all meals were raw. I had to go to the front desk twice for them to hunt down our waitress to get refills on drinks. The waitress looked like we were bothering her when we ordered deserts. Was not a good experience!!!
