Delicious food, speedy service and clean environment. Colorful presentation. Spicy salsa. We got the chile relleno, chimichangas, and sour cream chicken enchiladas. The portions were good and we enjoyed all of it.

Very good! La Carreta was recommended by the manager of our hotel. She said she’s personally gone there three times already! I can see why. The food was very good. The restaurant was very clean. And the service was great. I had a chile relleno and a chicken enchilada, Christmas style my husband had the chicken enchiladas with red sauce dinner we enjoyed our dishes!

This place was recommended by our hotel. Our server was incredibly rude & curt. Never came by to check on us, never refilled our drinks, nothing. Food was not good at all. Bland & watery & not at all like the Mexican restaurants back home in Texas. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Very attractive, cean restaurant and the food was delicious (chili relleno, cheese enchiladas, al pastor tacos, beans and rice). Ruidoso has MANY Mexican restaurants, some good, but I would rank this one of the best. We are locals who love Mexican food so we have eaten in most of them.

Walked in to a lot of empty tables, but had to wait 10 min to be seated. Finally got seated at a dirty table. Food took way too long to come out. The food was hot, but absolutely terrible. Waitresses all very inattentive. Had to go track them down and ask for silverware, napkins, drink refills, etc.

Happy New Year Ruidoso. La Carreta Mexican Restaurant is a wonderful place anyone can come to. Since I am a vegan I ordered Rice and Beans with guacamole. That may sound simple but imagine if those three are so good what else they can do in the kitchen! They also have a cool Frida Kahlo chair for people with families who sit at a bigger table. It is beautifully decorated and clean. The waitresses are really sweet and kind. Thank you so much.
