I came because I was in the area and had seen cool things on social media. I was apprehensive due to the reviews, but it wasn’t as bad or as good as the two extremes had indicated. I did come on a very cold and wet Sunday morning, so they had almost no customers. Previous times I had been in the area they seemed very popular and busy, so maybe that had something to do with it. I was happy with the service.
Ok, so the food was mid. Tortilla chips were bland and had like zero saltiness, same with the guac dip I got off the menu. I had been interested in the fresh guac made tableside, but apparently that was a gigantic portion and I was just eating by myself so I passed. I wanted a steak quesadilla, but their lunch/dinner menu was confusing. On one side it listed a bunch of quesadilla options, but on the reverse side it looked like you could make a custom quesadilla. I don’t know if my server was new, but I seemed to stump him multiple times. He was so sweet though and was trying his best, so I wasn’t annoyed at all. One weird thing was that neither him nor his manager knew what Mexican crema was. They kept thinking it was just sour cream, and I was trying to explain they are different, but it’s fine if they didn’t have it, but they kept saying it was the same thing. The poor waiter brought out a side of sour cream and put it on the table with a flourish saying, “here is the sweet sour crema.” Bless the poor man, I was trying so hard not to be difficult, but I think I might have broken him I will say that the steak did taste really good, so the quesadilla was good. I didn’t really try the rice or lettuce/tomato/guac/sour cream salad side thing, so I can’t speak to that.
The prices were reasonable and my bill was an even $30 with tip included.
Overall, I think it is on par with like a texmex place like El Rodeo or El Dorado, but with a more modern and cute social media vibe. Go to La Carreta for good prices and an Instagramable vibe. However, if you are wanting some bomb Mexican food and bussin drinks with immaculate vibes, I would stick with more authentic places like Dos Taquitos 10 mins up the road. Yes, it is wayyyy more expensive, but you pay for what you get.

The Christmas decorations were great but the food and service were mixed. We went for weekend Brunch – the pancakes were excellent and the tamale was pretty good.
The menu lists pancake “flights” which was a little confusing because it’s really just 3 different pancake stack options. They were good, though.
Two people in our party ordered tamales, which are supposed to come with 2 tamales each, but they brought 1 order split across 2 plates. They said they ran out of tamales, but it could have been better communicated.
Overall we still enjoyed the meal and decorations

took the opportunity while back on Raleigh to come indulge in the Christmas brunch experience here. had a small hiccup with the reservation, but other than that…. it was wonderful. this made the misses day! and as all us fellas know, that’s what matters the Christmas cocktails and shots were superb! the heated igloos were so cool and the food ‼️best of all our server Mari was so patient and amazing, this lady needs whatever promotion and accolade that is available ‼️ You guys have limited time for this Christmas experience, just go treat yourself

It’s a shame really… it really should be better. Our experience was very poor due to what is either staffing issues, service, or a combination of both. We were served chips and salsa immediately upon sitting down. It took them 20 minutes to ask us for our drink order even after we reminded them that we hadn’t been checked on yet. We ordered a very typical order: kids soft tacos, quesadillas, and brunch tamales. It took them over 30 minutes to bring them. All told, it took us 90+ minutes to have a typical lunch – just not a good option for a family with young kids.
On the positive side, we came for the holiday decorations and appreciated the festive atmosphere. If you have a party of more than 4, recommend reserving the outdoor igloos during the holiday season. I believe you need to call ahead to do so.

Pleasantly surprised! I usually skip chicken at restaurants, but their chicken dish was cooked just right. Tender but still juicy. The portion size was just right, and I love that they offer a lunch menu. To top it off, the margarita was absolutely delicious.

Horrible birthday experience. This place needs more details on reserving spots and time limits, people need to know the entire party has to be there to see if there’s an igloo open because it never said that on the site. Reserved a table and added a request for the igloo as stated on the website. Less than 24 hours they send a text saying to come in at 12:30 to see if there’s an available igloo. I get there at 12:30 to do so and he immediately sits me down after I mentioned my party is still coming at 1pm like I reserved. After about 10 minutes a lady comes out and says “did you see that we changed your reservation” like how do you change someone’s reservation without them confirming or denying the change. After telling them that’s not what was written on the site, emails, or texts, they said they have to move me inside at 1:30 because another person reserved the igloo for 1:30 but how if I reserved for 1pm. She said she worked it out so we could stay there but came back 10 minutes later and said the other party was uncomfortable and we needed to go inside. There was also hair in our food. They gave us $3 off our food as a compromise. Won’t ever go back there.

Arrived a little after they opened, coming from Greensboro. We wanted to sit outside, the guy they sitting us and our server was a little rude about that. He did advise it wasn’t cleaned but all was needed was the table to be wiped and pillow cushions on the chairs. He his comments almost made us leave, but we let it go. Im glad we didn’t, the food was good, drinks were good and the manager came to our table. I would definitely make that drive again.

The atmosphere was great and very welcoming, the drink we had was good. However the restaurant need to update their menus if they no longer serve something, like fire shots, or the lobster with the steak, either have waitress let us know up front, if its temporary or take it off the menu. My food was OK, I tad salty but not bad, I like that they had very cute shareable drinks you can enjoy with your friends.

The food was good and the service was as well. They have a sauce bar and I loved it. We had a great experience here. This was our first time trying this restaurant and we will definitely be back. The food was flavorful and the mojito drink was amazing! Everything passed our fresh test. Thank you for dinner! It was very pleasant. And you know when you see Mexicans wearing cowboys hats entering a Mexican restaurant to eat your at the right one 🙂 Mary was our waitress and she was on time and very nice!

We came here to celebrate our daughter 16th birthday. I made reservations 2 weeks the date, I even spoke to someone about how many guests and what I thought our guests would. For example they wanted me to confirm how many guests and what meals would they be ordering. I confirmed 2 days before how many. Never heard back. We arrived on the day of our party and the person whom I spoke didn’t mark it on the calendar or however they know what parties have reserved. They said they had no reservations for my party. We wanted to be out side with the pink umbrellas. A gentleman comes out from the back says I thought you canceled we never heard back. I said yes I did send email and I didn’t hear back from you. He said if we would have known you were coming we would have had gas tanks for the heaters outside. Any smart business would have them ready in case your guests wanted to sit outside, yes it was cold but it would have been nice with the heater. Food sucked no season we all had to salt. Drinks were the same it was more water and juice than alcohol. The atmosphere was nice and services was okay I guess. I will not come back.
