Came in and was seated right away!! Ordered the Pollo Feliz, thought it had too many onions etc… It was a good dish but after eating two tortillas the skillet was mostly onions and grease.

Wonderful place and I was surprised it wasn’t busier. Ordered something like cara Asada tapaquenu and the result wasn’t bad. The rice was meh, but the beans , onions and more importantly the steak, was great. Service wasn’t bad, Definitely would repeat. I’m spoiled and have great mexican choices where I live, I think this is pretty good for North Carolina. The sala was good and they bring those naughty chips.

Great place with an awesome Mexican vibe! Super clean, friendly staff, and really good portion sizes. The food is tasty, and the prices are fair. The fact that’s open late makes it a great option for late night dinner.
Definitely a solid spot for Mexican food!

Highly recommend! I LOVE Mexican food, and I visit a lot of different places. I have to say that this place is at the top of my list for Winston-Salem! The food was great, the meat was all very tender!

One of my deal breakers for a new restaurant is the chips and salsa. If you can’t make good salsa, then I’m done. Their salsa is great! Great flavor, and just the right amount of spice!

We had a reservation for a party of 12 last Saturday at 6:00 PM. I mistakenly thought the restaurant was in Robinhood Village, but it’s actually in Whitaker Square on Robinhood Road. Despite our confusion and the size of our group, the staff welcomed us without hesitation and accommodated us so kindly.

The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent. I truly appreciate how the staff went the extra mile to make sure we had a great evening. Thank you for making our visit to your beautiful restaurant so enjoyable — we’ll definitely be back!

The food just feels like it’s gone way down hill. Servers either take forever to come get your order or too quickly and you feel rushed. Salsa tastes watery, and everything just has a weird taste to it. I’ve given it so many chances bc it’s so close to my house but no more. Over priced for the quality. I pray they get their act together.

The La Carreta Mexican Restaurant Experience (Dine-in Edition). I have wanted to eat at La Carreta, and I have passed by the location several times. I decided to dine-in on this day, and I enjoyed the restaurant’s décor. Once I was seated, a server brought a basket of chips and salsa to the table. I ordered a medium house margarita, and the server informed me he could make a “good a** drink.” I also ordered their lunch combo taco, burrito, and rice. While waiting for my food, I did go to the restroom, and it did appear clean.

Once back at the table, my drink arrived. The margarita was in a nice size glass, and even though the server said he could mix a “good a** drink,” I tasted no trace of alcohol. Soon later, my meal came to the table. The food looked delicious, but I could not get over the strong chili/cumin powder flavor. For me, it was overpowering and affected my dining experience. Would I go back to La Carreta? I would not go back because the flavors were not what I am used to when eating Mexican food.

My wife has a food allergy, and we asked if we could have flour tortilla chips instead of corn. The manager said no at first, so we decided to leave and the manager stopped us and accommodated our request.were the only ones there so we stuck it out. The food was OK. We tipped the cook.

Standard Tex Mex offerings at a reasonable price! My husband and I ate for <$35 and the meal kept us full for hours and hours! Definitely good bang for your buck! They served nachos and homemade salsa immediately, which was tasty. The salsa had diced onions and jalapeno, so if you can't do spice, you might need to avoid the salsa. I ordered the chimichangas which were good, but literally just shredded chicken wrapped in a tortilla and fried--nothing else inside the tortilla. But, the beans, shredded lettuce, and smooth guacamole added good flavor. My husband ordered the biggest quesadilla ever and loved it because it was essentially a fajita in quesadilla form. You will either have some great leftovers or be very full if you try to finish that quesadilla! Next time, I'll probably try one of their quesadilla options!
