The La Carreta Mexican Restaurant Experience (Dine-in Edition). I have wanted to eat at La Carreta, and I have passed by the location several times. I decided to dine-in on this day, and I enjoyed the restaurant’s décor. Once I was seated, a server brought a basket of chips and salsa to the table. I ordered a medium house margarita, and the server informed me he could make a “good a** drink.” I also ordered their lunch combo taco, burrito, and rice. While waiting for my food, I did go to the restroom, and it did appear clean.

The food was largely tasteless and bland. There was very little flavor of any kind associated with the food. Drinks were served after the food arrived. Appetizer serve after the main course arrived after a reminder. I would not recommend. Nice patio, however.

Horrible take out which guacamole could have easily been slime water, yuck and the ground beef on the taco salad was nasty like old over salted corn beef hash. When I called about my meal being far less than desirable, he just put me on hold while I heard him taking to go orders. Lack of consideration and no offer of a refund for $22 of food I threw away! Zero stars for customer service.

Ok so. Me and a friend came so my friend can de-stress from an upside down situation. Nobody happened to know the wifi code. One of the waiters or whatever they were didn’t know anything about drinks I asked what the strongest drink on the menu was and he had no clue. Then food came out I ordered a salmon n ended up with something else. Waiter ignored us n had to hunt him down several times checking up on us a good 20 minuets after we got the food. Then some Wypipo came some spoke Spanish n practically ran the staff had my waiter and another assist their party plus a manager serving them drinks LITERALLY hand and foot service. I try to make things a color issue but thissssss was def a color issue. Usually I tip well I start at 20 n work my way down depending on the experience unless it’s fancy then I start at 50. Anywhoo I left them nothing n for once in my life did not feel bad about it either.

We were seated, got chips and salsa, got our drink and lunch orders in and everything was fine. Our waitress came by and asked how everything was and then….she disappeared. For 30 minutes or more we sat there, no refills, no checking on us, etc. We waited. Waited some more. Finally some random worker came and took our plates and gave us a check. Didn’t ask for it. Maybe I wanted more tea? Do you have dessert? He drops the check and we go pay and leave. No tip for the vanishing waitress or the guy who dropped the check. You vanish for a half hour and not one employee comes around? If you took a lunch why didn’t anyone come by? They also didn’t tell us the queso dip we asked for along with the salsa was $5.50 for a watery bowl. If the meal is 8.99 why would I spend $5.50 on dip when I can get it a whole jar of it at a grocery store? Thanks. Never again. Pretty sure the plates were microwaved as well.

After spending over a month traveling for work and eating at many different Mexican restaurants this was by far the worst!! The margarita and salsa were good but it stops there!! Thrown together burnt mess!! When hone i usually go to a spot a little farther from home but decided to give the close spot another try……never again. Also besides the worker at front desk no one else was wearing a mask.
