This place just keeps getting worse and worse! Chips were stale. The food brought to my son was wrong, not once but twice. Ended up canceling his order because I wasn’t waiting for them to bring it out a third time!!
I sat there for 30min before she asked me if I wanted something to drink, but never got it. I never take the time to leave reviews, but this place sucks more than the Amite Coupe Deville!This place just keeps getting worse and worse! Chips were stale. I want to Shout-Out the waitress Diana Flores,
She is the kind of employee I believe most restaurants look for. I will definitely be asking for her to be my waitress again.
There was 4 adults and 1 child in our group. We were seated pretty quickly and a server brought the chips and salsa to the table like usual and then nothing for about 15-20 minutes. I don’t know who was supposed to wait on our table.
Then a nice waitress named Diana Flores came over and asked us if we had been waited on because she noticed we didn’t have drinks on our table and we said no. She apologized even though we weren’t her table and immediately took our drink order and ask if we wanted anything else or if we wanted to put in the rest of our order. If you’re one of the customers who get her for a waitress consider yourself lucky she is awesome. She checks back regularly to see if anyone needs anything and if she noticed a glass almost empty she asked us if it needed to be refilled.
Our food came out quickly and everyone said the food was good, I had the carnitas it was tender I do wish there was a little more seasoning on the meat because in my opinion it could use a little more flavor but other people may have different opinions but it was really good.

La Carreta has been mine and my families “ol’ reliable” for a long time now. However, over the last two years the service seems to get worse and worse. The current hostess never smiles, and she is definitely not welcoming or helpful. Today when my kids and I were sat for lunch, we waited ten minutes and never even got a hello from any waiter. No chips and salsa, no drink orders, etc. Meanwhile, I watched two parties who arrived after me get their chips/salsa, drink orders, and put in their meal orders. I’m very disappointed with how La Carreta has declined. Do better y’all.

Would have been 5 stars except the avocado salad only had 3 extremely small & thin slices in the whole thing.
The Taco Salad was pretty good, no complaints.
The Burrito Supreme was portioned out well, and was quite good.

I typically do not have any problems with this location, however, I called in to make a pick up order for lunch as I work locally, and I wanted to order one of the weekly specials. If you go to the website, it just says weekly specials and then underneath it lists the days and the special and how much each costs. That’s it. When I called to do the pick up order, I am told I can only get the special if I am dining in. This was very disappointing as nothing on the website indicates where they list their weekly specials that it’s only for dine in customers only. They really should fix this. It’s disappointing that there are those of us that work locally and don’t have the time to sit down and dine in to eat and aren’t able to utilize these specials.

I got the chilie rellino and the shrimp were mushy at the bottom… The avocado salad had 2 pieces of avocado. The waiter did not know what deveined shrimp was. And from 12pm to 11am I have thrown up like I’m in an execisim and diarrhea every single hour. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. I HAD TO CALL IN FROM WORK. Food has standards but it’s not here anymore. Maybe 12 years ago. But if you want to eat then be sick go here. Omg I’m so sick atm I want to die.

My wife and I enjoyed the food. The tamales and wrapped shrimp were very good. My favorite was the Chipotle shrimp.

Upon entering the hostess was not very welcoming or friendly but I get it people have their off days and its a rainy wet day. We’re finally seated and it takes a minute for a server to come. Its a little slow 6 tables were seated but about 8 servers are huddled together. Which seems to be a frequent occurrence.
The server comes and I guess I’m use to a certain type of customer service at restaurants because the vibe here was way off. We finally get the food, we ordered a shrimp fajitas, a happy plate, soft beef tacos, wings, hamburger and a few other tacos. The only thing good were the wings they were fried to perfection and crispy.
Also I’ve noticed a shift change so maybe the hostess was irritated and ready to go. I also noticed other tables were attended to fairly quicker than our table for drink orders.
This is definitely my first and last time here. I absolutely love Mexican food and restaurants but this one missed the mark.
And flies were flying around 🙁
