We ordered from here using Uber eats. I Ordered 2 orders of fried chicken chunks with rice and plantains and 1 chicken in garlic sauce and this is literally the portions that we received. These portions are suitable for kids meals.This is absolutely ridiculous. Specially being that I paid almost $20 a plate. Will never order from here again.

You better off eating in than takeout because what i got for takeout, I had more left when I done in. I was dismissed because of my race. I know this because when I entered same young lady who sent me you someone else to pick up my food v helped 2 more Hispanics who came after me immediately to pick up food also. They also didn’t know my friend who looks AA but is Hatian and speaks& understand Spanish. Just say I’m glad my food was already prepared and waiting.

I visited La Carreta on University Drive in Pembroke Pines and ordered the croquetas. Unfortunately, they were extremely hard and overcooked. The texture was dry and tough — nothing like a proper Cuban croqueta should be. I have eaten croquetas my entire life, and this was by far the worst one I’ve ever had. Very disappointing experience.

The service here is stellar . The calamari was exceptional and I have had calamari at many restaurants. Comfort food at it’s best for your every mood. I enjoyed their imperial rice and paella . The shrimp plantain cups are a must try. They have a drink menu as well. Everything is covered here. I almost forgot to mention the toast…just like an M&M will melt in your mouth and not in your hands perfection!

The seafood casserole, green plantains, and yuca overall was a 9/10. But the seafood casserole didn’t have that kick of spice. If you’d like to try it then ask for Tobasco hot sauce. Environment: It’s giving Cuba vibes and they do a special birthday song with a Cuban touch. Service: Pretty good.

Food was very good. Nice waitress but service was slow. Asked server who brought food for oil and vinegar and he never brought it. Had to wait until waitress returned to area for the salad dressing which happened to be right in back of me… Would nevertheless recommend for good Cuban food if in the area.

The rice that comes with beans is one of my favorites, I always order it as a side dish. The boiled yucas are also delicious… the truth is all the side dishes are delicious.
I am not a big fan of the fries, but the times we have ordered them they come fresh and without oily taste.
The service is always good, they are very friendly. On a few occasions we have had to wait a long time, but almost always the food comes super fast.
I love that they serve very good portions, you don’t go hungry.
The cocktails are also good, I like the piña colada and you can also order it without liquor for the kids.
Prices are affordable
