Very yummy food. Really enjoyed the yaroa with pulled chicken and plantains and also the pork chops with a side of rice and beans. The yaroa was quite rich, so only ate half and had the rest another day. Didn’t love that it was prepared in a Styrofoam container even though I was eating in. Pretty sure it was heated through in the container.
The pork chops were served on a plate with metal cutlery. The pork chops were well seasoned and very tender. The beans were really good.
Service was a bit strange and slow, but the food was so good, it balanced out. Would definitely return.

I hope I get the chance to come back asap, the food was amazing and filling, just the smell alone emanating from it in the mall would have gotten me in if I hadn’t already heard about it from friends.

Today, I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment with fellow food enthusiasts, some of whom, including myself, were first-time visitors. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and immediately enveloped by the enticing aromas emanating from this modest venue, cleverly situated within a struggling and somewhat desolate shopping mall.
I opted for the lunch special, which allowed me to select my preferred rice, meat, and a small salad, although I declined the latter after witnessing the generous portions of rice and meat. The yellow rice and beans were flavorful, while the slow-cooked ribs were remarkably tender, literally falling off the bone.
Overall, it was a deeply satisfying meal, and my fellow diners concurred that their selections were equally impressive.

I dont eat meat or dairy, so I may not be the best person to review. but I got some veggie empanadas without cheese and I could tell everything was freshly made. crisp veggies, the empanada dough wasnt soggy or greasy. so flavorful despite being a “plain” choice. atmosphere is great, love the music. everyone was so friendly!! I lived in Queens NYC before moving to PA, so I felt a little nostalgic

The lunch special was tremendous! It was a huge portion of rice and beans with the choose of chicken or pork ribs and plantains. Excellent Dominican food! The owner was also very kind and friendly.

12/10– excellent service, delicious food, and friendly staff. i come here every time i’m on this side of town. so far i’ve ordered (and thoroughly enjoyed) the mofongo, yaroa, alcapurria, and empanadas. PLEASE try this if you’re in the area, you won’t regret it <3
