This small restaurant really surprised me in a good way. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The portions were just right and everything came out hot. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere had a nice, cozy feel to it.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because service was a little slow (or insert small critique like “limited seating” or “menu could use a few more options”). Other than that, I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back to try more of the menu!

This was some of the best Peruvian food I’ve had outside of Peru itself! We got the lomo saltado, pollo a la brasa, tallarines verdes, and yuca frita. So much flavor and very generous portions at an amazing price. You’ve got to check this place out!

Oh my God — this Peruvian chicken spot in town is next level.
The pollo a la brasa is hands down the best I’ve had—so flavorful and perfectly juicy. Their causa is absolutely delicious (both the tuna and chicken versions), the lomo is amazing, and the arroz chaufa? Chef’s kiss.
And don’t even get me started on the green and white sauces —I could put those on everything.
Pro tip: order early because they do sell out… that’s how popular they are. Every single thing they serve is incredible.

This restaurant used to provide a good pollo a la brasa back in the days. What happened to it, I don’t know. In my last two visits their chicken was cold, hard and not tasty at all. Was I given yesterday’s food?. And their fries were even worst, hard poor quality. I don’t think noone is controlling or checking their own food. Disappointed!

Place is small but doeable. Parking is somewhat complicated. Does get chilly inside when the doors are constantly opening and closing. Any table of 3 or more automatically they add 18% gratuity– NOT COOL! Our waitress did not check on us once the entire time. My food took forever to come out, so long that my husband and son ate their entire meal before my personal jalea came out. I definitely wouldn’t have left 18% gratuity if I was given the option! Oh & to top it off the receipt asks if I want to leave a tip ONTOP of the gratuity. Good food but not worth all the cons.

La Caravana restaurant is the pinnacle of Peruvian cuisine in union county! Their Arroz Chaufa, Rotisserie Chicken, and Ceviche will transport your taste buds to the Andes. And let’s not forget about the exceptional service, especially from the incomparable Andrea. It’s a 10/10, no doubt about it!

La Caravana has high quality Peruvian food that other restaurants genuinely cannot compare to. I’ve tried jalea at other Peruvian restaurants and thought I loved it until I tried it here…wow. The flavor, the aroma, the presentation were all amazing. It’s super cute that it’s presented in a fish shaped/decorated dish!

Ceviche has no flavor, service isn’t good and they give you plastic cups for your drinks! Do not recommend it.

The food is exceptional, a little bit pricey but delicious. Customer service needs to be improved! And parking is limited! The best options are the chicken and the ceviche caravana!
