Not a bad Mexican restaurant. The service was good, our server was very friendly and checked on us often. We were given chips and salsa right away which is always nice! I wish the salsa had a little more of a kick, but that’s just me maybe. We moved here from Arizona which, undoubtedly, has some of the absolute best authentic Mexican food there is, so we keep looking to find food like that here in Mississippi. So far, no dice. Our lunch was tasty….I liked mine more then my husband liked his, but it wasn’t like Wow! But the restaurant was clean and the prices were fair and they do have a full bar, if you’re interested.

La Capital is just down the street and has yet to disappoint in the last 5 years. They often have live music and there is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is so attentive and welcoming. They know our faces and are always happy to see us. Because we are regulars, we are often given free tastes of new menu items. They have large TVs in the bar and on one side of the dining area. Sports of all sorts are usually displayed. The pollo fundido, the enchiladas rancheras and the molecajete are all standout dishes to me. Their Patron Margarita is phenomenal! It’s frozen and I don’t really like frozen drinks. It’s not too sweet and has a perfect balance of flavors. Of all the fast casual sit down Mexican restaurants in Southaven, it’s my go to.

I love this place every time I visit this place I totally feel right at home. A great place to eat and unwind from a busy day. Delicious food and great drinks. The steaks are amazing with delicious and wonderful flavor. Please finish off with the password cake and coffee, what a wonderful way to end your evening.

This was top notch! We got to meet what we believe to be the owner. He told us a story about his 3d printed plants and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning. The food was top tier and the drinks were even better. Definitely recommend the Mexican candy!! ❤️ Even the kids cleaned their plates.

I really like their cheese enchiladas! They do a great job on those! The quesadillas are great, but I wish all of their quesadillas came with a little bit of sauce and vegetables such as guacamole, sour cream, or lettuce, though!
