Stopped in here to try the Florentine special boar pasta and my wife also tried the truffle pasta. Both were good but required us to “dress” them with the seasonings and oil on the table. Another table beside us ordered the famous steak which came undercooked and was eventually sent back. Overall a good experience for us but be warned it’s not for everyone.

Many will tell you to absolutely avoid restaurants around the main attractions in Florence but if you’re after a delicious no-frills meal, this is the one you absolutely shouldn’t. We stumbled upon this restaurant as it was the only open one in the area late evening. We had the asparagus and cheese risotto which to a meat-eater like me sounded boring but was actually amazing. The wild boar pappardelle? Equally delicious even without parmesan on top. We went back for lunch another day and tried the ravioli topped with ragú bolognese. The ragú was probably the best one I’ve ever had or at least in a long time, so now we have to come back again for more whoops lol. Luckily it stays open till midnight which is a big plus as is the service with a smile! Here’s a video sure to make you drool … Buon appetito!

We received excellent wine recommendations from a lady on the team, who asked thoughtful questions to ensure we had the best experience possible. Went here on my school trip with friends. The quality, looks and prices were satisfactory. I’m a big fan of sea food and this is the BEST spaghetti with seafood in Italy that we tried. All of my friends are satisfied with their orders as well, we are very happy and hopefully we will come again!

Worst meal we had in our 7-days trip in Italy!!
We ordered grilled fillet steak with roasted potatoes and risotto with cheese. A bone – huge like my pinky finger nail in my first bite of the steak.. I was lucky that my teeth are strong. And, the steak has no taste at all and even my husband cooked a better steak than this EU38 steak. And the staff never come and ask if the food is okay or not. AND when we pay the bill we found that they charged EU3 each for “Coperto”, which we later search online and found out it means bread basket and we didn’t have any as they didn’t give one to us!! We recognized that other tables have that bread basket and we assumed they ordered one or it comes with wine order, no wonder it is automatically charged and we never had that!! That’s nonsense! We don’t know Italian so we didn’t figured it out until we left the restaurant.. What an unpleasant meal and we will never recommend anyone eat here!!

Go here if you want real italian food. No tourist trap. Food service from the signore was kind and swift. We ordered a steak, spaghetti alle vongole, and lemon marinated octopus salad. Everything was perfect.

Came for dinner at 7:00 pm on Saturday and no wait. It was an excellent dinner given touristy location. We ordered Florentino steak and seafood spaghetti with 2 plates of veggies on the side and homemade tiramisu as desert. The gentleman, probably the owner, offered half or full steak with preferred steak internal temperature (rare to get this special service in Italy.) We took half as we did not want to overeat. It was a perfect portion considering the spaghetti portion was generous. Tiramisu was delicious.
