I recently dined at La Cantina with my husband and had an exceptional experience that deserves a five-star review.
From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and beautifully designed. The lighting was soft, creating a warm ambiance that made it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. Background music was just the right volume, adding to the overall charm without being intrusive.
The food was outstanding. Each dish we tried was not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavor. It was clear that the ingredients were fresh. recommend 100% and will be coming back again

WoW! This place is amazing!! BIRRIA Tacos were a 10/10 and some of if not the best Ive had ever around here!!! Beans and rice were good. Chips and salsa are good – salsa not spicy though. The staff, including the owners, are super friendly and here to please. Coming to this establishment is a no brainer!!!! Great food great service great atmosphere!!!!!

There were four of us, we each tried something different t, two ordered with ground beef, two with grilled chicken. Our preference was the grilled chicken as the beef was a bit too greasy.
Food: hot, fresh.
Highly recommend giving them a try! We were there right before the dinner rush, so it was quiet. A large party was leaving as we were coming. No issues or complaints.

I ordered the Enchiladas Rancheros that came with shredded pork on top. The pork came in rock hard, inedible, gray chunks. When I informed the waitress, another male worker came over and asked what the problem was, he was still confused when I showed him that I literally couldn’t pull the pork apart, it was so tough. No offers of a remake or compensation. I wasn’t fishing for a comp, but I ended up sharing my mother’s nachos. Definitely terrible service!!!

We ordered fried fish with shrimp and the only good thing about the dish was the few shrimp that were in the dish since the fish tasted bad. When I say it tasted bad, it tastes bad, especially when you have already eaten fried fish in other restaurants. The fact is that the employees did not see how to compensate him and even so, he paid for both orders of fried fish. Without a doubt, I would never return to this restaurant. Terrible service.

A group of 4 of us had dinner. Three of us had steaks and one had Mexican. The steaks were cooked as requested and were very flavorful. The Mexican dish was also very good. Service was good. Overall it was a very good experience.

I asked the waitress the best item on the menu, and I was told it was the steak. But only after 5, and as it was 3, why even mention it? Then, when she brought out the chips, I was asked which I would like, cheese dip or guac for the chips. I finally ordered a few tacos, rice, and beans. It has some dip you dipped the tacos in, which didn’t work well at all. I got the beans and rice 2 minutes before the rest of the meal. Asked for a refill, and had to ask where it was as she forgot it, it took a few minutes to refill (it wasn’t busy). Then there were the dinner companions. A handful of flies. I know you can’t stop flies from flying in, but there were so many. Went to pay and I was surprised as I thought the cheese dip was part of the meal. Instead it was $6 for a small little dish of barely melted cheese.

I am the traveler. Been Hangin all weekend in Denison. Thought Mexican, there is a lot to choose from when it comes to Mexican glad I chose here. Family owned and operated even the children here great to see people teaching their children how to work. My food was excellent service on point. I am not a spicy fan, but do like a little bite. Nothing came out too spicy which gave me the ability to add the amount of spice with the hot sauce on table. Decor and atmosphere nice clean and comfortable. Stop by give them a try.

Great food I had steak and cheese sandwich and fried ice cream with 2 margaritas my wife had the chicken and beef fajita and it came out sizzling.The waitress was very nice and didn’t speak the best English but she tried hard to give us what we wanted

Ordered and paid online. When I went to go get my food, I was missing 2 meals and I was argued with between 3 different staff on how I was wrong and didn’t pay for the 2 meals and if I wanted them I’d have to pay. I arrived there at 1:15 to pick up my order that was ready for 1:20pm. I didn’t end up leaving till 2:10pm with all my food once they realized I was correct. No apology. Also wasn’t able to get my tip back that I paid online. Very upset with the service and how I was treated.
