5-stars for La Canasta’s street tacos! The meat is flavored really well and the sauces are hot and homemade. The prices are very affordable and service for pick up is fast. This shop is my go-to for authentic Mexican tacos—hard to come by in Cincinnati.

We have been going here for years. It’s a little grocery store with a small restaurant in the back. We love it and my nieces love it! They always get the Carne asada tacos with a side of Mexican Crema. This is a treat for us as we don’t live close. I brought some friends here from out of town and loved it! This is a small family-owned business and a pity to see some of the reviews for people who just complain about waiting etc., but they will go to Taco Bell or some other average Mexican/American restaurant and pay same or more for low quality. Small businesses are not easy to run and I’m so happy they are there. I don’t need fancy & am willing to wait for good food if they are busy working. I’ve never had anything bad here and for the people that don’t know meat that has a discoloration is [a result of] oxidation, a normal effect that takes place when low oxygen levels surround the exterior of the beef such as when it’s layered on top of one another.

This place is simply amazing. As a Cincinnati native I wish I knew of this place waaaaay earlier than just now. This is the best tortilla I’ve ever had. The people are sincerely wonderful. You can find fresh Tamale’s every other weekend. The tacos are so beautiful, delicious and legit.

Came in tonight and got 2 Sopes (1 Steak and 1 Carnitas) and 4 Tacos (2 Lamb and 2 Cow Tongue). First and foremost everyone that works there are very friendly and very nice especially for someone who speaks no Spanish. The food tastes so fresh, juicy, and flavorful. You can tell everything is made to order and fresh. I can’t recommend them enough to anyone wanting good authentic Mexican food. 5 stars isn’t enough for this hidden gem. Can’t wait to go back.
