Nifty old house that is home to this tasty, no-frills Tex-Mex joint. Their selection of pescado entrees sets them apart from others for sure. I personally prefer dining in one of the smaller, original dining rooms for the full experience, but the bar room is lively and fun when the mariachis are in-house. The ceviche is loaded with seafood and I really like that the avocado is very fresh and firm as a nice contrast to the tender marinaded fish and shrimp. The carne asada was a very generous portion and I would recommend sharing if u want to have room for the rest of ur meal. Glad we made it back…great service as usual and good prices for the offerings.

We don’t get to this part of Dallas much anymore. We happened to be in the area and thought let’s see if La Calle Doce is still around. I was so glad to see they were. It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio. House margaritas were some of the best we’ve ever had. Chilaquiles and camarón à la Diablo were both great. Service was excellent. It was everything we remembered. Hopefully it doesn’t take us another 25 years to get back!

Remember coming to this restaurant EVERY friday back in ’02-’03 & it was always very delicious! Visiting Dallas and decided to eat here for dinner on a Thursday evening. Made reservations at 4pm for 12 people and they had us in a private room which gave us plenty of space and privacy. They have a lot of seafood options both fried and grilled. Their top Entrees are the shrimp or octopus cocktail with crackers. Very delicious and not spicy at all. It definitely hits the spot and they offer both in small or big sizes. They offer ceviche, shrimp, salads, tacos, etc. We got a pitcher of Piña Colada and skinny margarita. Both were very delicious and definitely hit the spot with a few cocktails. Our server Javier was amazing, very friendly, efficient and gave great recommendations. The place has a small parking lot beside the location but they do have a lot of seating both inside and outside. If you are in the area this would be a great spot for lunch or dinner.

I love coming here for a lot of reasons, one being the food is always amazing and so fresh. I don’t know what they put in the salsa but it’s so addicting with those good chips. The enchiladas verdes are so yummy and I love how creamy they are with the chicken having lots of flavor too. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant as well. I feel like every time you go, you somewhat have a different experience based on where you’re seated in the restaurant. The staff is great and I realized they’re great at having teamwork because even though they’re not our server, they will come and refill your drink, pre-bus, or just get you anything you need if your server isn’t there at the moment. They were so nice they gave complementary fresh lemonades before we left for la vida dulce
