On our last night, we decided to go to Saint George for dinner. It was quite late yet, there was a table outside for five and a big dog. One of us didn’t want dinner, just went straight to dessert.
Food was delicious. No veg meal on the menu, but they worked something out. It was tasty, albeit, lacked complete protein (as usual in the area).
Service was friendly and accommodating, although the waitress was a little bit too aggressive at times. The sommelier was on spot in his recommendation.

Nice little restaurant with fantastic food and an amazing wine list. The chef does a great job but the experience is ruined by the (otherwise great) waiting staff stinking of smoke as they walk back through the restaurant following their cigarette break on the street.

La Cabotte’s extremely competent food menu is a perfect match for a thoroughly rich wine list. The place only has a handful of tables and a cosy dining room on the first floor and is buzzy with wine lovers, especially this last weekend for the diner du Chapitre, celebrating its 90th anniversary in grand pomp at Chateau de Clos Vougeot. The filet mignon was remarkable, as was the porc main course, and the jamon iberico to start with, together with other delicious classics. Our wine selection certainly didn’t pale either, beginning with Agrapart champagne brut 7 crus, followed by Les Saint George by T. Liger Belair and Bourgogne by Leroy. All in all, a wonderful lunch preceding the evening festivities!

Happened upon this restaurant while staying in Nuits-Saint-Georges during our road trip to south of France. Our hotel’s manager recommended the place to us and we’re glad she did. Wonderful food and ambiance at a reasonable price point. Our waitress’s English was a little rusty, but she tried her best and was very warm and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone traveling in the area.

This is probably one of the best Restaurants in Nuits Saint Georges. Friendly staff and good service. The maitre’d speaks English helps if one doesn’t speak french. Excellent value 3 course set lunch for EUR19.50. Service was quick and food well presented.

Charlie and Amelie were amazing. Tell Charlie what you like in a Bougogne Blanc oo Rouge and he will bring you an over the top wine for a great price. Plus, every course/food selection may have been the best we have had in Burgundy! We’ll be back!
