We arrived without reservations after choosing this restaurant based on photos and reviews. The business has seen better days inside and out but was clean. Service was super friendly and helpful, making suggestions on what to order. Oddly, one server spoke to my wife in Spanish. It made me laugh as my wife is Italian. The server switched to English when she realized the mistake. The food and appetizers were served promptly. Food was tasty but didn’t knock my socks off. It was as advertised and worth the price. The overall atmosphere was pleasant. It seemed like a lot of regular customers, which is good as it shows loyalty. I believe the owner or manager did come by to check on us, which made me feel they take pride in their restaurant.

If you like Dominican food, then you’ll like this place. Excellent food and great atmosphere. The servers were nice and attentive. I had the fried beef with rice and beans and it was delicious . Clean place but the seating was a little beaten and worn. Great flavors in the food, I would go back whenever in town . A little on the pricier side

I am absolutely horrified by my experience with La Cabana. I ordered shrimp scampi for delivery, only to discover a ROACH in my food. Let me repeat: a ROACH in my food. This is a complete failure of basic hygiene and food safety standards.
What’s even worse is that this wasn’t caught before the order left the kitchen. It’s clear there is no attention to cleanliness or quality control in this establishment. To think this was packaged up and delivered to me as if it were acceptable is appalling.
This level of negligence is completely unacceptable, and I will be reporting this to the health department. Needless to say, I will never be ordering from here again. If you care about your health, steer clear of this place.

This was my first time here and I definitely will be back and I will recommend it as well. The staff was so attentive. The food was delicious. I ordered shrimp mofongo. Couldn’t eat it all. Portions are decent. The rest of my party enjoyed their meals as well.

I order from here frequently and it’s great sometimes and not so good others but today I received my tripe soup luke warm and I picked a hair out of it. I was grossed out but I wasn’t sure so I kept searching through to make sure it was a hair and I came across this piece that was covered in hair. It almost looks deliberate. I will not be ordering from here again 🙁
