Had the special of the day which was 2 gorditas with rice and beans. I chose picadillo which had potatoes like i like them. My honey had the chicken mole plate which we both also loved. The red salsa that comes with the chips was fresh and delicious. While we were at the restaurant, there was a birthday party next door with karaoke which seemed like a lovely way to celebrate. Will return.

Worst experience ever. Very slow service. Ordered fajitas. The meat was brought out 20 before the rest so it all went cold. Give you only 3 tortillas for a huge plate of chicken. Also the little band there was so loud it made conversation impossible.

Definitely local vibe. You can tell the same tables of people coming in at least weekly. It’s comforting and homey. The interior is old school Texas restaurant. The wait staff is all very kind and friendly, and though Spanish seems to be almost everyone’s primary language (a good sign for a Mexican restaurant in my books) there has never really been an issue communicating.

Mex-Tex….mex flavor this side of the border, good taste. Salsa is tasty also, chips are crunchy. First time here, good vibes, definitely a place to visit and enjoy several dishes. About a mile south of 1604 on Hi 281. South SA. Place is bigger than it looks with plenty parking. Family owned and operated.
