This small hole in the wall is well worth it. Fresh handmade white corn tortillas. I tried four tacos. All of them were very delicious.

Bistek.
Agua de horchata was so good. Not too sweet. Just perfect on a hot day.
Bring cash. They do have an atm machine if you forget.
Staff was super friendly.

Some of the best places to eat homemade Mexican food are in little buildings with Univision blaring on the TV. Cash only. My barber told me about La Cabana Del Tio in Clearwater which sells some of the biggest and most tasty empanadas he’s ever eaten. He said they are made from scratch using corn masa like his mom makes. This place is tiny and the parking lot is not made for trucks but I managed. I didn’t know it was cash only so off I went to the bank to take out some cash. I was determined to try this place today. They have a line of proteins to choose from for the filling. I asked for chorizo and cheese. It took a good 10-15 min to get my food. Let me tell you, they smelled great on my way home. I wanted to pull over and eat them. When I opened up the tray they had placed a huge helping of sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce on the size. The three empanadas were thick and filled with meaty Mexican-style chorizo (ground up) which is what I wanted. They put a strip of fresh queso on the bottom of the fold. They were not greasy or messy, they were easy to cut in half and devour. I found a new place for some good MEX eats! Definitely a hole-in-the-wall restaurant simple restaurant. Those empanadas set the bar pretty high for me so I hope the rest of the menu keeps me coming back. I plan on trying the pozole next.

Best tacos in Clearwater. Nothing else compares. I got the simple chicken tacos today because I just love the flavor of their homemade hot sauce, and it shines through next to the chicken. But you can’t miss with the el pastor or the carnitas either. Tortillas are made fresh for your order. This is authentic Mexican at its best!!!

It’s hard not to pick up a little Spanish, having lived in Florida all my life. The staff at the counter did not acknowledge us and seemed uninterested in taking our order. When I realized they didn’t speak English, I attempted to use Spanish words to order some basic Tacos, but was still met with an annoyed attitude by the attendant. Food was ok.

Grate food! Good taste. But they’re on the pass by only accepting cash. And take forever to serve you. Very small place for such of service. Needs to step up big time.

Great place to stop and get some great tacos. It’s a very unassuming location but prices are reasonable and the food is always hot, fresh and delicious! Good variety for everyone to find something, and they have a drink case to choose different sodas or teas from. Delicious food and has brought me back for years now!

This spot has some of the best tacos around! The tortillas taste fresh, the fillings are packed with flavor, and everything comes out hot and perfectly seasoned. The salsa options are delicious too—just the right amount of heat. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. A must-visit if you’re craving great tacos!

Authentic Mexican restaurant that serves ground beef for the tacos de bistec (steak tacos)? My husband couldn’t even eat them because the meat was just ugh. And the tacos de pollo (chicken)? The chicken is bland. Not even seasoned. And if you have problems with heartburn? Run the other away, because the tacos al pastor and tacos de chorizo will have you regretting your decision. Even if you don’t get heartburn? You’ll start feeling like you do.

I love this place for the freshest tortillas and refried beans. Cash only, which sucks because I rarely carry cash but when I do I try to get here
