A great Mexican restaurant in Newark CA! They do handmade corn tortillas, and they are good. The got them with a fish Filete Empanizado, and Ben had two excellent tacos, fish and carnitas. Nice salsa, excellent guacamole and Mexican rice. Like the Mexican restaurant you went to every week when you were growing up. Mariachis in the weekends.

Terrible value for money. Very average Mexican food. The staff is nice but they charged me $2 extra just for choosing carne asada for 1 taco in my La Caba Special Plate without telling me. Then they charged a 1.5% convenience fee without notice. The prices for the food are already way too high compared to other Mexican places and then they do these things. Never going back.

My family and I have eaten at this Mexican restaurant in Newark for years and we love this place. The ambiance is lively and fun, the staff is friendly and engaging, and the food is delicious. It’s great for large parties or dining with just a few people. They have a nice bar with good drinks and always have a game on to watch too.

Worst experience ever. They don’t know how to cook. We asked for enchiladas michoacanas and they served us ONION enchiladas. They were literally filled with raw chopped onions and nothing else but onions. No potatoes or pickled vegetables or cheese or even sauce, just onions.
We waited 30 minutes for chopped onions!
