Food was horrible ordered two chicken salteado and the chicken was barely cooked or seasoned. What a shame of a place, had been here several times. I can say that la granja sets higher standards than this place.

This place was so good. Main course to side dishes to dessert. Everything tasted good. Prices are good. Portion size is perfect. You order first and then sit down at any booth. They bring you the food with 2 different sauces. They were good as well. The family style menu option is worth the price.

I normally do not leave reviews because I have been in the restaurant business for over 20 years, but the treatment I have received at La Brasa in Plantation, FL has been completely unacceptable — and it has happened on two separate occasions with the same gentleman working at the front counter.
The first time, the restaurant was not serving chicken due to their oven being out of service, which is understandable. However, the way he spoke to me was extremely rude. He bluntly said, “We don’t got chicken and I don’t know when we will get it, because the oven is not working” then pointed at the oven with a terrible attitude, as if I was bothering him for simply asking.
The second incident happened today (2/3). I placed an order for a whole chicken, but immediately realized I only wanted half before I even paid. I asked how much half a chicken was, and he responded, “I already sent your order.” I explained that I wanted to switch it, but he refused, saying he “could not change it.”
He then told me I would have to wait 20 minutes for a manager because they “just got a new system.” Meanwhile, it would have been very simple to cancel or notify the kitchen not to prepare the ticket.
I was very upset, not because of the order itself, but because of the way I was treated. When I said I didn’t want anything anymore, he simply replied, “Fine.”
Customer service should always go above and beyond, especially for someone working the front counter. Loyal customers should not be treated this way — and I have been coming here for over 10 years.
Unfortunately, I will never return.

Family friendly, portions are big, lots of rice, nice salad, plantain, chicken was good. Enjoyed with friends. Will recommend, Spanish and English speaking help mostly Spanish.

Went there yesterday with my family and the service and food was terrible! I’ve been here numerous times and have never had such a bad experience. My mother in law’s paella was very wet and just did not taste good. My husband got food poisoning from the tacu tacu that he ate there. Once we finished our meal we were waiting on our desert. Mind you we ordered the desert the same time we ordered our food. We requested for it to be brought out at the end though so it would be fresh. We waited an hour for our desert. Other people ordered the same desert and got there’s before us but we ordered way before them. The staff couldn’t care less about the complaint or the fact that we were waiting forever. My family and I will never return to this location. The tacu tacu half of it was spoiled and you could taste that. This is completely unacceptable. I do not recommend this place. Save yourself from getting food poisoned.

I ordered the Escabeche… did not taste as I expected, it had tomato sauce and oregano? Someone changed the recipe. My mom ordered the cau cau, the tripe was overcooked. Piccaones were pretty good.

If you’re on the go and want to pick up some food really quickly before heading to work or home; La Brasa is definitely one of those places to go to. I do feel like the flavors can be a bit better but, it’s definitely convenient.

Nice atmosphere and new set up. Had the ceviche and the anticuchos that were on point. I’m heading back later for a chaufa! 100% recommend. Kinda of a faster food feel with great prices compared to other peruvian places and I can tell the dishes are made with love. My compliments to the chef making it happen!

I used to really enjoy coming here — I’ve eaten here plenty of times, but the service has gone downhill. The staff seem rushed and disconnected, with little attention or care for customers. What used to feel welcoming now feels cold and unorganized. It’s disappointing to see a place that once stood out lose its touch.
The food is fine, but nothing memorable.
My recent experience sealed the deal for me. I placed an order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. When I asked for the person’s name, they hung up on me. I still went after waiting, only to find out they never recorded my order. There was no apology, and I ended up waiting another 40 minutes for the food — turning what should’ve been a simple pickup into nearly an hour-long ordeal. No accountability, no urgency, just unprofessional behavior. Sadly, this place has really changed, and not for the better.

Went on Sunday just after noon. After waiting almost 10 minutes in the line I asked to order the family meal with all white meat which is posted on their menu at a $1.70 up charge for either all white or all dark. The cashier said they could not make it all white even with the up charge. When I inquired why he said when it’s busy they can’t do it. We asked if this was only on weekends and he said it depends how busy they are. If you can’t make it take it off the menu. It will be my first and last time in because Pollo Tropical and La Granja will accommodate.
