Stumbled upon this gem of a cafe right in Bayonne! I love a local treasure and was looking for a cafe that served good sweet and savory options for brunch. La Branche had a wonderful menu and I got exactly what I craved with their omelette, homefries, crepe, bacon, and lavender matcha latte. Perfection!

What a hidden gem in South Bayonne. I felt that I was in a French Cafe somewhere in Europe. The service and presentation was exquisite. The food looked very appetizing and tasted even better. I am definitely coming back. This would be a lovely place to go in warmer weather when they have tables outside.

We love La Branche!!!!! We clearly have been living under a rock because we only just discovered it and we have been twice in a week. EXCELLENT food. The chef and owner is amazing. Yasmin and service team are super friendly. Probably some of the best food and best cafe latte I’ve ever had (and I’m from Louisiana ). I’m a huge fan! Have already told (and brought) friends. We have had the cafe lattes, the Shakshouka (best sauce ever) the Jardin et fromage omelette, the brisket special. Have fully enjoyed everything. Great ambiance too.

Second time here and just like the first: THIS PLACE IS A JOY TO EAT!! My mother lives in Bayonne so we frequent around the area. Incredibly attentive, food is always delicious (they can even customize your order), the ambience is perfect, plenty of options on the menu, low calm noise level, no wait time, quiet location with plenty of reasonably priced metered street parking outside (paid with quarters or credit card). Very kind and attentive service. This review is specifically for a Wednesday lunch (11/5/2025) at around 11:30am. First time we went there was on a weekday afternoon. Stellar place. We recommend and will return!

I had high hopes for La Branche, but the experience ended up being pretty middle‑of‑the‑road. The atmosphere was pleasant enough, and the service was friendly, but the food itself didn’t really stand out. Everything tasted okay, just not memorable. Nothing was bad, but nothing made me want to come back either.
If you’re nearby and hungry, it’s serviceable. If you’re looking for something exciting or flavorful, you might leave feeling a bit underwhelmed.

Fabulous dinner at LA Branche. Fresh Salmon, perfect crepes, yummy crab cakes and delicious cappuccino. The broccoli soup was some of the best I’ve ever had – super fresh.

I went to La Branche Bistro & Cafe at 194 Broadway in Bayonne, NJ on February 21 with my good friend Terry. It is Mediterranean style cuisine. We were mesmerized by the Shakshouka egg lunch, their frothy delicious iced coffee and their Crepe Suzette dessert. It was all delicious beyond words. Server Johanna was quite well-versed in all the dishes and personable as well. Compliments to chef Ana S. on the food preparation. We will surely be going back soon.

The food was delicious. The service was great. You can actually tell that the people that work there enjoy working there which is really nice. and the place was really cozy and comforting, and the food some of the best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had oh my goodness I had an omelette with cheddar cheese and butternut squash and sweet potatoes. It was amazing. I highly recommend coming here. I’m gonna be coming here a lot.

I enjoyed this cafe. The salad, soup and sandwich were delicious. Nice sized servings. Our server/hostess was great. And patient.✌ The chocolate bomb and flight of crepes for dessert were fantastic too. And of course, cappuccino. Stop by and enjoy.
