We dined here last weekend and, at first glance, the restaurant is small and feels a little dated—but don’t let that put you off. The food is phenomenal. The menu is simple and classic, yet every dish is executed to perfection. We enjoyed the French onion soup, mushroom soup (a special that night), catch of the day, cheese board, and the lilikoi cheesecake—everything was outstanding. The wine list is small but thoughtfully curated and pairs beautifully with the food. What truly made the experience special was the genuine family-owned atmosphere. The owner, who is also the head chef, came out to chat with us, which made us feel incredibly welcome and turned a great meal into a memorable one.

Outstanding French cuisine with a local flair. If you’re in Kona, make the time to treat yourself. Hubby and I took a chance and stopped in without a reservation, thank goodness Cindy was able to accommodate us.
Pre fixe meal we ordered Escargots and Baked Brie for our appetizers.
Entree we ordered:
Duck consule and Beef Bourgeon
We splurged for the Duck Confit and it did not dissapoint.

Excellent service, Excellent food. The place is old and beautiful. A bit of a smell when it just rained. Some of her (the Chef/owner) menu items are tremendous. The lobster bisque is one of the best I have ever had. The chocolate desserts are amazing. Very personable place to eat. I read that this place is ranked among the top 10 for the best food, so I decided to try my luck. When I arrived at the building, it looked like a typical establishment from the outside. But once I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. From the music to the decorations, I loved everything about it.

Service: The owner is responsible for the wine selection, and the wines here are truly top-notch. The service goes above and beyond.

I was also amazed by the paintings inside; it turns out our server painted them himself. These landscapes are simply stunning. p.s. Ask to see the gallery. Lovely

I highly recommend everyone to visit this unique establishment. To the owner, I wish continued success and prosperity. Please keep surprising people with your exceptional service and deliciously unique food!

I had such a lovely experience at this French restaurant. The portions were surprisingly generous, and every dish I tried was rich, flavorful, and so comforting. The service was truly excellent, and made me feel very welcome. One of the highlights for me was when the chef Carolina personally came to my table and offered a taste of a new dish they’re working on. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that made the evening feel extra special. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Had a wonderful night here. The owner was so attentive, kind and knowledgeable about her craft. The baked brie was incredibly flavorful and the filet mignon was perfectly cooked with au poivre sauce. I do wanna highlight the wine collection here is diverse and reasonably priced.

I’ll definitely come back the next time when I’m on the big island.

Had our anniversary dinner here.

The building doesn’t look like much, but once you stepped inside you are in a little oasis. Service was outstanding.

Food (we had the filet mignon as entree) was good, but not amazing for the price point.

Everything was amazing here, good to service.
The mother and son duo running service and the kitchen were fabulous, very kind and attentive.
The food was delicious. I had the sweetbreads which were incredible, highly recommend.
The frog legs, baked Brie, duck, and desserts were all delicious as well.

Almost impossible to believe, but this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Maybe it’s because I didn’t expect such an incredible French restaurant to be on an island in the middle of the Pacific ocean, but after meeting the owner/chef and having her not only take our order, but then have her son as our waiter, you can tell she has poured her heart and soul into the restaurant. This is no better represented than the incredible food that was served, along with the ambiance, artwork, and the very intimate dining experience. As soon as you know you’ll be on the big island, give them a call and get a reservation. You won’t be disappointed.
