La Boulangerie is more than a meal — it’s an invitation to slow down. Tucked along Broadway, this small French bistro feels like stepping into another rhythm of life, one where food is meant to be savored, not rushed.
Every bite reflected care, patience, and devotion to craft. The freshness of the ingredients, the handmade pastries, and the quiet warmth of the space created a moment of pause in my day — a gentle reminder of gratitude and of how nourishment is both physical and soulful.
I brought a lemon tart home for dessert, and it was exquisite. The macaron? Simply unforgettable.
In a time when everything seems fast, cheap, and replaceable, La Boulangerie stands as a reminder that some things are meant to be lingered over. A true hidden gem.

Hands down the best French bakery I’ve been to in San Antonio. The croissant with egg and ham omelette—prepared in true traditional French style—was absolutely outstanding. The croissant itself was perfectly buttery, delicately flaky, and full of flavor. Truly delicious . I’m definitely coming back! And you know it’s the real deal when they even carry the infamous Orangina .

We’ve been to France a few times and this is the most authentic French bakery I’ve eaten at in the United States! Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. What an awesome hidden gem we found on our weekend trip to San Antonio.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary breakfast. Host was friendly and inviting. Everything was delicious, the coffee and espresso, the sweet pastries and savory breakfast. My favorite is the almond croissant.

This Authentic French breakfast was nothing short of amazing. Eggs were fresh and cooked just right, they use French flour for their bread, and their warm chocolate croissants are delicious. A must try in San Antonio. Pictured here is the PETIT DÉJEUNER DELUXE, highly recommended!

Was in San Antonio for a business meeting and couldn’t face another hotel breakfast buffet. Did a quick search and this gem popped up. I even drove 15 minutes to get there. Easy to find steps from the Riverwalk in downtown you will not go wrong with any of the amazing treats and selections on their daily menu. The baguettes are sublime and so many of their baked items are true to form that they would be at home on an out of the way Parisian street away from the maddening tourist crowds. If you are spending any time in San Antonio give time to visit La Boulangerie. Delicious and phenomenal.

My lunch and pastry were SO amazing that I snarfed them down before taking a picture. I ordered a baguette sandwich of fig, Brie and arugula which was so rich, fresh and delicious. My travel mate ordered the same thing but as a crepe. I also ordered a palmier – it was the best palmier I’ve had in the US! Highly recommend stopping here!!

Delicious pastries and bread. The chicken pesto sandwich was so fresh. The pecan cream pastry was just full of flavor and surprisingly light. Will come back.

This was the most incredible food and coffee I’ve had in a long time. They have tons of options, and are so great at customizing to make sure you’re getting what you want. For coffee we got a simple shot of espresso and an iced vanilla latte. When I tell you this was the most amazing vanilla latte I’ve ever tasted, I mean it. It was so simple but so delicious, not too sweet, not too bitter, so perfect. For food we got the butter and ham croissant, Nutella and banana crepe, and chicken tomato basil sandwich, all of which were fresh and delicious. The service was so welcoming and helpful, I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

We were craving a French breakfast and this spot was perfect! We had the quiche Lorraine, bacon and egg croissant, and ham and cheese croissant. All had a small salad which I love about French food. Had the drip coffee which includes refills. Finished off with a chocolate eclair and the most perfect chocolate almond croissant that was delightfully caramelized.

All the staff spoke French which I love hearing and were helpful. They had samples of their bread pudding which was delicious. Also… way cheaper than flying to Paris. 🙂

Free parking on the street on Sundays downtown.
