The caldo de res was super delicious. Also, it comes with hand made tortillas. My husband had huarache de tripa and gordita de carne asada and they were outstanding as well. Not every Mexican restaurant place tastes as delicious as in La Bonita Restaurant. We made an excellent choice

It’s not a fancy place, in the middle of nowhere, and it’s hidden next to a gas station. But more importantly, are the BEANS. Those refried beans are like my tias (my aunts) used to make. I happened to stop in a couple of months back on my way to a clients house. And was like, this is good. Then I was excited to be driving thru there again at lunch on new years eve. They were a bit shorthanded, but the service was still ok. I ordered the crispy taco plate again for $9.99. It’s two tacos, rice, and beans. But The beans. Mmmm. The tacos were delicious too and the taco shells were thick enough, where they didn’t get soggy. Chips and salsa were also good. I need to try something else one day, but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
I will say, anytime I’m driving down 183 headed towards Lockhart, this will be my pit stop. I really like their food. Authentic Mexican food. Great prices.

I have never left a review in my life but I felt I absolutely had to today! If I could give this place zero stars I could. The service is was absolute trash and I sipped up a German roach in my sweet tea. All the staff did was take my cup. And that was it didn’t say anything else. This was literally “Turn here” find as we headed to SA for the afternoon. Service was good, place is small…..more of a dive joint…which is cool, sometimes they are the best. Food was spot on…beans were great….Barbacoa hit the spot….and although the potatoes look uninspiring they were actually very good. Will keep it on the radar as we want to hit this place for lunch.

Alejandra is the best I have been coming to this restaurant because it is local and to be honest 6 minutes from where I live. I’ve seen the change and the great atmosphere and the great employees that they have. Alejandra is always the best and all the staff members are always exceeding. Remodeled. Friendship built with the staff members. The food bad ass hot never cold. The bar has now been open for a while with another location offering DJ music and great food and service.

Well it seems times are hard. Paid $16.99 for beef fajitas and it comes with 2 flour tortillas. I had to pay for extra tortillas. We also had a half basket of chips with salsa for 2 people and my napkin was a half sheet of paper towels. So it appears this place has some serious financial challenges. The waitress was polite but never checked back and we were only one of 3 tables occupied. Well I will cross this place off the list of my places to go. Super accommodating to the non-white folks. Hey that’s fine and no problem.

Just to start off, they did not honor their special or their prizes. After receiving my breakfast tacos and then being charged more than advertised, I realized they hardly filled the tacos, not worth the money. Salsa was good, extremely watery will not be returning
